Deck discussion for Art of Zero Mana

Maybe throw in a couple Lotus Petals to soften the blow of being reliant on the Opals? Yes, you have to sac them, but one Echoing Ruin and you're nearly done for. :/

I love the concept. But I must ask. How do you plan on getting the 11 mana to cast Mycosynth Golem?

Good call on Lotus Petals. Or Lotus Bloom or whatever it is called.

Mycosynth has affinity, so I just have to get 11 artifacts out (not hard) or 10 with a Mox Opal. Mycosynth is really unnecessary in this deck right now though, as I don't have anything like Darksteel Collusus or Platinum Angel or the like that would need the affinity that he grants to get into play.

Added Platinum Angel, need to figure out what I want to drop a bit. This deck really needs to stick close to 60 cards to have the best chance of drawing your mana producers. Birds of Paradise will probably go now.

The only other things I would consider is adding some really low cost (1 mana, 2 tops) draw spells, but again, I'm not sure what I would drop now.

Maybe add Dark Rituals to get the initial mana ramp. Also consider Paradise Mantles. Please check out my deck: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=104171

P.S. Drop the Leylines

Another idea (a lot wilder though) is to put Salvaging Stations to return the Lotuses to play (the Blooms don't get resuspended so they're quite awesome). I don't know how you'd get them out though unless you happen to draw 2 Lotus Blooms with it.

Also add Goblin Charbelcher and Cranial Plating to give the deck a kill mechanic.

Infiltration Lens goes well with Cranial Plating. Sorry about all the comments BTW - I get these ideas as I click "ADD REPLY".

Good job with the deck :)

Last comment I swear - you probably picked this, but if you didn't, the Mox Opal is legendary, so only one can ever be on the field at a time.

No, I appreciate all the ideas. And to the last one, yeah, I got that. But if you start with 3 you can use one for mana, put out one to sac them both, and put out the third for another mana. I'm looking into making 1 or 2 more decks based off all these cards, leaving this one for reference.

I like it. Putting Leylines in there was pretty clever, I think I might try that.
