Deck Description

I would like to first say that I play magic casually, though I do know a lot about the Modern/Legacy decks. I like to find a card and make a deck around it, or make a deck around a common theme, usually on a decently low budget, which I tried to do (hence no Progenitus and such in the creatures).

As for the deck, the main idea is to play Aether Rift turn 3, the reanimate whatever you discard with Victimize (probably on a divining witch) or Search for Survivors. If Aether Rift doesn't pop up, there is always Elvish Piper as well.

How to Play

Again, get Aether Rift out, then Reanimate with Search for Survivors or Victimize (though I may put in Exhume instead of something). Tortured Existence allows you to manipulate your graveyard easily to recover lost elvish pipers or put anger or a creature you want to reanimate into your graveyard.

What you reanimate depends on the situation. If you are about to die, get Elderscale Wurm. If you are in control, get Yore-Tiller Nephalim or Reya Dawnbringer to snowball out of control or some kind of Eldrazi with Annihilator to control the board.

I added 2 Divining Witchs as super cheap (money wise) cards that can tutor turn 3 for any card. However, other tutor cards probably works better. The only upside being that this is a target for Victimize whereas other tutors are generally not creatures as well.

Lastly, I added 2 Impending Disasters because once you have Aether Rift out, you can destroy all lands and then slowly kill them with Aether Rift, which can be pretty hilarious.
