First update I have done in a long time. Plan to add 1 collateral damage mainboard, that's why it's at 59 now. It seems like it's a good place in the meta now

I would cut havenguk vampires all together, you mana count is too low.. Also cut lightning strike, shock, and replace with rift bolt and lava spike. If you want them for removal rather than damage try flame slash and forked bolt side board. I would two more lands in, maybe teetering peaks

I agree playing budget does not mean wipe your as with cardboard, which is what some of those lists are

Honestly I just think this is a worse version of the other ascendency decks in modern. It's a good attempt but it relies on very paticular cards to make it work. Not saying this to be mean, I make a lot of modern decks that don't work. Just have to expand your card knowledge past what's in standard right now

I just can't grasp much of a strategy in 100 card singleton. I'm involved in modern, standard, legacy (in that order) and its like a different game.
