Main Deck (60 cards)

Sideboard (15 cards)

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

This is a pure Izzet deck. Thats right! Every non-land card in the deck has the Izzet watermark. Any ideas would be most welcome. I would love to throw in more Dragonshifts, but all I have for the moment is one.

How to Play

Put Nivix Cyclops on the board and use your instants and sorceries to pump and attack.

Deck discussion for Izzet Onslaught

Please give me advice. Keep it nice and cheap and all cards to be considered have to be standard and in the Izzet guild (watermarked and all). Thanks!

i would put the mizzium mortars back in i know you can return all opponents nonland permanents but the mizzium mortars could kill all creatures permanently.

Nice deck. If I were you I would replace Mercurial Chemister for Nivix Guildmage. The Guildmage is cheaper mana cost wise and his abilities are pretty sweet. You can pay three and draw into an Izzet Charm or a Mizzium Mortar and discard a land if you already have enough land on the battlefield. And his second ability lets you copy a spell you cast. So a Mizzium Mortar could hit for 8 damage, or you can target something else with the copy. The only problem with the Guildmage's second ability is it costs 4 mana, which is why you may want to look into Goblin Electromancer. He'll make your spells cheaper and then the Guildmage's second ability won't seem so bad.

Did a bunch of playtesting, and Nivix Guildmage really didn't give me much positive traction.

have you considered counterflux?

Yeah, but so far I haven't seen a situation to use it. My main win con is Cyclops being pumped by my spells (generally with Teleportal). I very rarely have a need to counter...so far. If I start seeing Thragtusks I will start using it. =)

Sideboarded btw

maybe cut one dynacharge and a downsize for some goblin electromancers? cheaper overload costs.

Interesting idea, but I during playtesting the electromancers slowed the deck down significantly. I rarely overload anyways, so the electromancers are sideboard at best. Thanks for the input though!
