Deck discussion for Grixis Experiment

I have never seen such a spammy control deck lol. I've seen nephalia drownyard in as a plan B, but never as a staple lol. It could definitely work. I think I would add a bit more synergy with the milling rather than just playing total control and waiting for it to do its work. Adding lazav could be really fun in that regard. Maybe consider Jace's Phantasm just to apply some board pressure as well. Who knows? It could be a secondary win condition. I think it could be a viable alternative as well in case they're running a full playset of elixir of immortality's or the elusive but epic battle of wits deck. Since you're playing BR, I'd run dreadbore instead of murder. It also accounts for a pretty legitimate planeswalker threat like no other card in this deck really does (except cyclonic to some extent). I'd also suggest mortars instead of lightning bolt, since the lightning bolt usually won't be aimed at the player anyway.

Good luck! I'll keep following the updates on this deck.

Interesting. I basically built it to slowly grind down the opponent and use, surprisingly, Stensia Bloodhall as my major win condition. I will take another look at my card choices, but the reason why Im not using mortars or dreadbore is because of the cmc. I have carefully crafted the curve here, but I am always looking to try to improve what I have going. Out of curiosity, what about Breaking and Entering?

I hadn't seen stesnia blodhall lol. To be honest, I have no idea which is faster of the two lands. I guess it depends on the game.

Breaking/Entering seems okay. I think it really depends what you're going for. I don't think entering is so great if you're going for damage win, but i think breaking is a pretty good mill card. It's basically three turns of nephalia for less mana. I would try to consolidate to which of the two lands you're going to use if you add cards like this... although, theoretically, you could add it in and just go for whichever is better in the matchup. It has ups and downs lol

add Devil's Play, or Fireball to deal more concentrated damage. this is a pretty janky wincon as is. maybe throw in a couple Augur of Bolas to soak up some damage so its not such a race

You know what, I think you're right. I will, however, go with Bonfire of the Damned...even better

bonfire is tougher to hard cast. if you miricle it, its exactly the same as far as damage to the opponent

Why don't you use Silent Departure or Vapor Snag instead of Unsummon?

Silent Departure is a Sorcery, Yuck!
I, on occasion, use unsummon to get another use out of Snapcaster. I dont want to lose life when I return my own creatures.
