Main Deck (60 cards)

Sideboard (0 cards)

No sideboard found.

The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

Typical Burn, Modern legal with a little mono-red card draw in case plan A doesn't pan out.

How to Play

T1. Mtn, bolt. 3 dmg
T2. Mtn, shock, bolt 8 dmg total
T3. Mtn, shock. 10 dmg total. Maybe zap a creature.
T4. Mtn, Hidetsugu's 2nd Rite. Scoop.

That's ideal. If it doesn't pan out just keep burning and use browbeat/reforge the soul to refuel. If you're burning this much your opponent almost has to let you take the cards.

I almost prefer the draw first on this, just to have as much steam as possible.

Thoughts?

Thanks! I'm an old-school burn enthusiast. I felt this was about as solid as it gets.

I considered removing some 3 dmg ruckus makers for some 1 shots. Just to add that extra assurance you can get an opponent to 10 life and allow Hidetsugu to perform his shenanigans. Figured the tradeoff of stronger stuff was a better decision. Any advice from the vault community?

This is cool. Think about including Isochron Scepter. It works amazingly well with red burn decks like this. It makes the slow draw times a lot more manageable, even though you did a great job of upping the draws in this deck. It is a little expensive though so if you want to keep this "budget" you may not want to include it.

Sorry for taking so long! Thanks for the look. I run Isochron in a mono-white lockdown with Silence and it's GREAT. I can see it being useful with Lightning Bolt, but I don't know if I like it with this deck.

If I can get Hidetsugu's Second Rite to fire off the Iso isn't really necessary. I might try it and see how it plays though. Thanks for the suggestion.
