Deck Description

My attempt at a standard Abzan deck.
EDITED: Added KTK cards

How to Play

Keep on the defensive. Pump a couple creatures out and buff them with as many counters as possible. Then just wait.

Deck discussion for Abzan Tempo

I feel the word "control" is used wrong here as you have 3 things control decks don't.
1: 18 lands
2: 2.5 removal spells
3: no card advantage.

Although the deck does have mana issues pretty often, I'll make some big changes come KTK. Removal isn't a necessity of a control deck, just a staple. It does have some interesting ways to take out creatures, with Gods Willing and Necrobite. I find playing it, the card advantage is rarely a huge problem, and it's also not a necessity of a control deck. Just a staple. However, I am open to suggestions. What would you rename it?

This appears to be more of a Tempo deck than Control. Viagrasaurusrex is correct. The essence of Control is battlefield control without creatures. Typical control decks have very few only for them to pop up once the field is completely under your control. Removal, counter, board wipes, lockdown, type of cards are used in control.
So Abzan Tempo would be a more fitting title.

Here is my thoughts on this deck as well. This deck is full of 1 of's cards. Any reason behind this? What about finding a good niche and filling your deck with that? This will help with consistency on card draw as well as a more stable playing environment.

I see what you mean. Thanks.
In response to the ones and twos, my decks are created from cards I already own. If I were to participate in tournaments more often, I would put more money into them, but I unfortunately don't have the time nor the money.
