Deck Description

Prepare for an army of spirits that will overrun your opponent in a matter of a few turns.

How to Play

Drogskol Captain: This provides hexproof and +1/+1 counters for all of the spirit tokens. This prevents the opponent from killing them with a cheap kill or bounce spell. This also helps make Geist of Saint Traft just a little stronger.

Geist of Saint Traft: If you can get this sucker out by turn three, you're usually in a great position. The angel that attacks with it will get buffs from the enchantments.

Detention Sphere: This takes care of any card that might be preventing you from getting through. If there are more than one of the same card that you are targeting, it will take care of them as well!

Ethereal Armor: By far one of my most favorite enchantments in standard right now. With all the enchantments out on an average game with this deck, it is enough to be swinging some nasty damage in the air or help make Geist a bit stronger so he can stick around for longer.

Favorable Winds: This buffs every creature that will be on your battlefield except for Geist of Saint Traft.

Intangible Virtue: This buffs every token that will be on your battlefield and scares the living daylights out of your opponent because you're swinging a lot of damage in the air, then you have big blockers for their turn.

Azorius Charm: Running low on health? A bunch of damage in the air with lifelink will do the trick. Out of cards? There is a solution for that as well! The thing that makes it the most useful, however, is that you can send an attacking or blocking creature to the top of the opponents library. This allows you to create wide open space to attack on through.

Dramatic Rescue: Like Azorius Charm, it creates open space for you to attack and gives you a little bit of life as well. I like this because it can be used at any point of time.

Midnight Haunting: Spirit token generation that can be used as a combat trick as well. You can use this in response to your opponent attacking and if you have enchantments and buffs on the field, you just received a big blocker.

Rootborn Defenses: This card's primary purpose is to keep Geist of Saint Traft out another turn and to create a copy of the angel token before it gets exiled at the end of the turn.

Sorin, Lord of Innistrad: Another token generator. While they might not be spirits, it makes up for it in lifelink. Sorin's second ability also makes every single attacking creature that much stronger.

Lingering Souls: A spirit token generator that can be flashbacked. If there is a board-wipe, you can easily recover from the graveyard.

Directions--Apply buffs, create an army, win.
