Deck Description

Cheap Bant deck that I will be using at local FNM tournaments, is cheap now but will later be added with Gideon's, Elspeth's, Noble Hierarch's, and Knight of Reliqary's as they become available from winnings.

Hopefully this deck alone as it is will get me at least in the top 5.

Also, please leave constructed criticism.

Deck discussion for Bant - Comment Please

I like it. Can you clarify something for me though? If you turn your lands to elemental creatures, and they are still lands, can you attack with them while still reaping the benefits of Exalted on your Knotvine Paladin? That would be a sweet combo!

sadly no because if you read colonnade and wildwood it says clearly at the end "It's still a land." so technically it does not count as a creature towards Knotvine's ability

I think it is considered a creature as well as a land, and add the finest hours into the main deck and sideboard something else

like i said before, read the card, it is still a land, it can block and attack though LIKE a creature but it does not count as a creature

The land becomes a creature. That is what is says. It is still a land as well. So it counts as both a land and a creature. If it didn't say it was still a land then it would be just a creature until end of turn.
This is like Gideon Jura's ability which says it is still a planeswalker. So it counts toward Knotvine, and it counts for exalted.

I really really really like this deck. The only concern I have for this deck is what defense do you have for your attacking creature. Granted when you attack, you're attacking with only 1 creature, which sort of leaves it open to defender assault. Instants that destroy attacking creature, return creature to your hand, things of that nature. Maybe 4 'Brave the Elements' wouldn't be such a bad idea? If you could try it and let us know how it goes, I'd be very appreciative.
