Just a quick question. You know you have to return a land to your hand with chamber. So turn 1 it is no mana and turn 2 its only 2

But.. if you play it first you do not have to remove a land, therefore you get 2 lands. Make sense? Returning a land is a stipulation I believe so if there is no land to return then there is no land to return. I would like to get an experts opinion as well.
