- Ramp thru elves and alloy myr - Get out a hydra, enchant it with a umbra to make it unkillable against any creature - enchant it with glistening oil to make it pump up itself every turn or play oran to give it an extra counter - ascetitism to make it untargetable - Either use predation or Gigantiform to give it trample - black sun zenith to pump your own hydra and clear the board * Things i'd like to get some info on: Mana base - feels a bit shaky Search engine for the hydra What happens if i give my hydra -5/-5 with dismember? Will it substract 5 +1/+1 counters from it? I know it works with infect and thats why i love em so much :)

it isn't working like that placeing a -1/-1 isn't removing a +1/+1

Putting a -1/-1 counter on a creature that has a +1/+1 counter on it means they both disappear. Due to a +1/+1 counter being removed from hydra, it gets 2 more at the end step. It HAS to be either damage or -1/-1 counters as dismember simply gives it -5/-5, doesn't deal with counters at all. It's a rather great concept actually, because at the cost of reducing its power and toughness by one during your turn, it gets 2 bigger at the end step AND it can hit for infect which is ridiculous due to the whole hydra /prevent damage stuff.
Best thing about it that it just cannot die from normal damage when it gets enchanted / equipped with something that gives it +1\+1. It's quite devious because a lot of people still dont know that :-)
