Deck Description

The real trick to a livewire lash deck is knowing that it isnt a rush deck, but it also isnt a late game winner (though it has generally won longer games). This deck plays around protecting your creature from death, and then attacking once. Win generally on turn 4 or 5.

Rule #1, make sure you can protect your creature when you play it. Undying evil, apostles blessing, etc.

Rule #2, do not pump your creature unless your attacking! The mutagenic growths are ONLY for attacking. Every game where I tested using that spell defensively turned out worse.

Guideline: You don't have to attack. I won against several decks because they kept trying to kill the equipped creature, and I kept hindering that.

Funny note: I once won against a white weenie deck by waiting until i had 5 spells and just playing them all, (the last card I got was artful dodge otherwise I would have won sooner with a pumped attack)

And remember you can cast artful dodge with flashback ^.^

Sideboarding:
Against Snapcaster Pike: the extraction and despise in for the gambits and 3 ponders out,.
Against Green Aggro: Skithirx out, Tezzeret out, 2 ponders out, 2 Corrupted Conscience in, 2 despise.
Against Sorin Tokens OR Werewolves: Tezzeret out, 2 Ponder out, 4 ratchet bombs in.
Against Red Burn: Really should not be a problem to kill this kind of deck; no sideboarding.
Against White Equipment: Really Hard, speed matters; Skithiryx out, Tezzeret out, 1 Corrupted Conscience in, 2 despise in. The Idea being that your finisher is their mirran crusader instead of the dragon, and despise lets you plan ahead.
Against RB Vampires: Plan carefully to avoid the problems with kill spells, and it shouldnt be difficult, expect not to win as quickly due to all the removal spells.

Sidethoughts... gitaxian probes instead of Despise... I like the idea of being able to get rid of some nasty creature or plainswalker.

Deck discussion for Tournament Livewire Lash Deck UBg

I run a simmilar deck no black tho your win con is swing with an unblockable infect asap but livewire lash calls for a bit more control if your relying on it otherwise I don't think its even needed honestly, I use it as a win condition seeing you won't see it tll turn 4ish and these decks can win turn 3 if built rite soo again the lash isn't important I use it solely cus I'm only playing casual with that particular deck if I play tournaments I use mono black for the evasive creatures in the current format flying is just as good as unblockable as long as you deal with lingering souls, plus yo get the best pump via lashwrithe only playable in mono black and the best disupter in the format via whispering specter, its funny to see your opponents face when you say on turn 4 discard your hand lol
