Deck Description

Taking the most I can get out of scavenge. The goal is to utilize the self mill as a means of ridiculous draw while simultaneously setting up the combo. Grim Flayer and Nyx Weaver are great early game creatures to begin this feature. Treasure find and Nyx Weaver allow you to grab whatever is needed from the grave. If you ever self mill too much, elixir is there to save the day.

The enormous creatures are fun by themselves, but even if they can completely shut down your combat phase, just pop down Jarad and use his ability on a hexproof Sylvan Carytid or a Silhana Ledgewalker.

Debating throwing out grisly salvage for abrupt decay or putrefy.

Would Love help and criticism! Also note that there are no restrictions on the legality. Just a fun idea for using around the kitchen table with friends.

Also, the sideboard is merely a collection of potential and disregarded ideas.

Hope you like!

How to Play

Use Grisly Salvage/nyx weaver paired with treasure find to begin the hunt for Jarad's Orders or Varolz. Then use Jarad's Orders to find Varolz while simultaneously dumping death's shadow/phyrexian into your graveyard. Then, let the games begin....

Any help appreciated :D

Deck discussion for Scavenge, feat OTK

I really like this deck! Death's Shadow + Varolz is an insane booster, and I have been searching for a deck that has this feel to it.

The only thing I could recommend is creatures that have sacrifice conditions like Blood Bairn or something much better than that so you can remove creatures from your own field if needed.

Other than that, great deck!
