just an idea that came to me based off of the Witch-Maw Nephilim's ability. Card sugestions are open, as this is still not complete.
put enchants on cards like kor spiritdancer and Favored hoplite. use glaring spotlight or Asceticism to protect your creatures.

Sadly you can't use the nephilim add your commander. It has to be a legendary creature, and it is not

what! It is supposed to be a legendary! there are only one of each in the lore! this is B^(( S#$**!
mabye I'll go with some five-color commander and splash in red, any ideas?
Not a long list of five color legends. Progenitus is always a favorite, but I've always wanted to try reaper king myself
What about child of alara? that is legendary
It's a legendary so it would work. It's up to you what to pick ultimately. However I will say this. If you run child of alara as your commander, prepare to be the target of everyone. No one wants its effect to go off, so they will either counter it, exile it, or prevent you from playing it altogether if they have the cards for it in their deck.
Cromat would probably be the best option. The ability of child can easily be gotten around.
If you just want to go 5-color, Reaper King, Horde of Notions, & Cromat are all reasonable options. The first 2 have abilities you can exploit to at least some degree w/o going all tribal if you don't want to (best creatures in tribe, Conspiracy, changelings, & so on); Cromat has a nice package of abilities (on a side note...has anyone ever figured out exactly what that thing is...?).
Never mind...errata = Illusion.
!@)#@$&#@$*&#@$&(!?, Umoonpuca?
Dude..."Cromat."

(!@#$&#@$*&#@$(!?, post reply !@#$&#@$*&#@$(!?!!!
translation: what the hell was that comment, Umoonpuca
also, cromat I think is some mythological being that is lord of dragons, or possibly an all-powerful being.
Translation: English much? (How RUDE!!...no offense to anyone who doesn't.) And it would help if you specified which comment...Cromat (the card) was indeed errata'd as an illusion. As for it's origins...sounds about right. As for "Chromat"...not bad, actually.
just a thought: what do you think about combining cards like "Favor of the Overbeing" and "Cerulean Wisps"?
translation comment was about Cromat being shown as an illusion.
Could be a fun, sneaky combat trick...only for 1 turn, though. Maybe also consider color-changing cards whose effect is permanent, such as Alter Reality.
This would play better if you had more multi-colored creatures, though. Anax & Cymede fits your heroic theme, as well.
I've got a 5 color Cromat deck. You should check it out. http://www.mtgvault.com/dnttuchmywookie/decks/5-color-control/Im rather proud of it. Cromat was my first choice on 5 color,Reaper King would have been second. Child of Alara Like the previous guy says. Makes you a target.
Also what about your land base?
I need suggestions on that as well. I am open to any ideas.
shock lands, dual lands, scry lands and if you go that rout amulet of vigor
thank you, sherlock
Your welcome Captain O
does anyone know if this infinite combo is good?
That combo will only trigger if you single target zada with all four counters, and it won't trigger again if you target him with another of the copied spells, because it isn't single targeting him. It's not an infinite combo
but you miss a point. the spell acts kind of like the strive mechanic from theros. up to four TARGET CREATURES. the four targets can be anyone, including all sorts of change-ups and combos
I get that the copies can be spread sound as you like. My point was that you will only get that mass copy once. Zada reads that the spell can target only him, so you'll only get it once. What you do with the counters produced by the copies is up to you.
ah, sorry. didn't read that part.
