Me too actually.. but deathcult rougue was my only other option. Not happy with either really.. I would have been much happier with tormented soul but it would be only black color in deck :?/
I agree with your disagreement. also, 4 Talrand is a bit much. hes legendary, so maybe 3.
take out the 2 incursion specalists and a talrand and add 3 curiousity. goes good with unblockables.
True, but the whole point of this deck is to get him out and abuse the cipher for 2/2 flyers. Making Talrand a HUGE target for people with burn or kill cards. I need best chance of drawing him early and drawing replacements
Why would you avoid black in a cipher deck? It opens up so many awesome cipher too you! Also, why would you run silent departure? Most of the things you can attack with already have unblockable, or can be unblockable. I'd drop the defenders altogether, and spot some control. Counter spells are to be expected in a mono blue. So the whole tarland cipher deal? I've made one myself, and it is really fun to play! Check out the one I built, yes I own it...http://www.mtgvault.com/dynathy/decks/perfect-storm/
This is also a first attempt at tarland cipher, thought it was a cool idea while bored yesterday haha. I'll check out yours. And I am still considering taking out those defenders for more black unblockable like tormented soul and stuff. But for being honests sake I'll probably never build a real version of this. I like to create new decks online all the time and perfect them best I can for the sake of card knowledge.
