You are right, I posted this is a rush and accidentally made adding mistake.. I'll change title. And I understand it's not really indestructible.. just easier to say that for quickness

Jund standard seems very funny to me. Ramp ramp + Rakdos return? Seems good! then drop xanegos + mogis SEEMS GOOD!! haha then the rest of teh deck would be pain seer and tons of removal. mid-range control
Aside from chained to the rocks there is no real exile threat. That being said I would not run barrage of expendables at all, I understand why you want to though. I would rather run magma jet. It can still be finishing move if cruelties gets through AND it's still a scry removal. Also if you're going control consider putting in blue as well. I ONLY say this because removing lifebane/expendables/and two durress and two mizzium you will have enough room for heavier blue control and blue cards that can make master of cruelties unblockable. Aqueus form for instance. I also have been wanting to make a similar deck as this but mine would be Jund
That's what I WANT to get going... A group of friends to have a weekly night of this you know? Not just card shops. Also: I've heard certain decks being banned from friend circles, haha. This and my turn 2 sac combo engine would probably make that list xD
Me too! xD
I understand, and completely agree with your suggestions as it would create a better/more fluid/consistent deck. However, I am also trying to keep a strong theme going at the same time. It's a Nightmarish Demon Deck, lol. But for tournament play, you are totally right. And for clarification: I know my creatures won't hit grave often, but the use of Recurring Nightmare is the EXTREME flavor it adds to the deck as well as a reusable backup or recovery plan in case some one just plays "murder" after I waste half my cards to get out my demon quickly.
I definitely thought about it... What I'll probably do is create a second deck revolving around the Apostle and compare this one and that... Then make a decision based off the research :)They'd be good for Culling the Weak fodder because otherwise I have to play 6 of them before they're useful for bringing out demons. I can sac 3 for the ability of one of the Demons.. but since the thrulls do that too AND can be sac'd for quick mana ramp for the other I would prefer them for now.
Scratch the Madcap Skills portion ^^^ I must have been thinking of another recent deck I saw that used heroic tokens. For THIS deck YES run Madcap... BUT ALSO use Chained to the Rocks. It's another MUST have in Boros.
As much as I love Madcap Skills, and I do, it's not for this deck. I would replace the 4 with 4 Chained to the Rocks so you have better control. I would also exchange Battlewise Valor with Ethereal Armor, it's first strike and a bigger creature especially with many Chained to the Rocks on the field. I'd also replace Wingsteed Rider with Soldier of the Pantheon. I agree with switching out for the Blind Obedience that would be better. I also highly recommend making room for Coordinated assault, God's Willing, and *Maybe* Akroan Crusader.Just for the fun of it, I'd like anyone here to check out my new janky casual deck for mono black if there's any mono black lovers here :)http://www.mtgvault.com/worldsbestbillybob/decks/nightmares-of-demented-demons/
I LOVE Madcap Skills! No one else really does good to see someone finally agrees, haha
Is this meant for Modern or Casual play? If it's casual please check out my new Mono Black "Nightmares of Demented Demons" Deck :)I would like to know what you think!http://www.mtgvault.com/worldsbestbillybob/decks/nightmares-of-demented-demons/
I'm glad so many people enjoyed this deck! I just recently made a new fun and original(I hope) broken deck. I would love everybody's feedback on it!It's another mono black and is heavily themed around Demons, though there are actually only two. http://www.mtgvault.com/worldsbestbillybob/decks/nightmares-of-demented-demons/
Well, there's no knights in this deck.. But he is definitely a fun card :) So much swarm!
For a mono black Infinite Sacrifice Combo deck I've also made that wins Turn 2-3 you can follow this link :)http://www.mtgvault.com/worldsbestbillybob/decks/infinite-sacrifice-combo-t2/
As much as I like bloodghast, this deck is pretty consistent at combo-ing out by turn 2-4. Bloodghast is nice but since he only returns on land drops I have no way of creating infinite or multiple sac combos with him in this deck...As far as your deck goes: I would definitely max out your scull clamps to 4. It's extremely cheap casting and serves SOO much draw power... NEVER enough draw power so definitely max that out. I would choose between Carrion Feeder or Mortician Beetle and loose the other, I would say keep the feeder since it's a sac engine and is a zombie which works well with gravecrawler. I would also loose Diregraf Ghoul, it's nice if you're going aggro but you're going reanimator. With the extra draw from 4 clamps I would swap your numbers of Demonic Appetite with Grave Pact. Also increase Pawn of Ulamog to 4 since sac'ing will be common and being able to sac the eldrazi tokens (with gravepact on field) is instant speed to force opponent to sac and extremely useful. I used to Run bloodthrone vampire, pawn of ulamog, gravepact, and blade of blood chief together in a very mean deck. If I had all those cards out and say just 4 edlrazi out.. you would sac 4 creatures and I would swing (then fling) bloodthrone as a 25/25.
That's true, but transmutes always cost 3 mana. Meaning if it was needed I would have to transmute turn 3, play the altar turn 4. The deck runs smoother and quicker with carnival as opposed to transmutes. Especially if I have blood artist out then there is no downside and I can have opponents infinitely loose life and I just won't gain any.
Wow great suggestion, amazing draw power with that! Definately using
Thanks for the feedback everyone! I read everything thoroughly and appreciate the thoughts, I made some slight adaptations to the deck (mainly being -prophecy +entombs).
I was going for casual anyhow, but if I'm one card away from Modern I might as well replace it! The palace guard is infact random, but I run it for the sake of using it with spirit mantle, hence giving me an infinite blocking system until it is removed. I only run 1 because the draw power from kor should land it with me and I never need more than 1 on the battlefield. Yeah, figure of destiny IS better, but trying to keep with doublestrike theme and it being the only 1 drop that can be double strike makes me want to keep it..
New turn 2 infinite sacrifice deck I just made :3 Please view and help!http://www.mtgvault.com/worldsbestbillybob/decks/infinite-sacrifice-combo-t2/
