it also has unblockable win condition (islandwalk etc.) It has lots of draw manipulation and some tap/untap options. any ideas would be welcome

put the thundersong trumpeters as sideboard, add two more lands, and two more hearthfire hobgoblin they are awesome
runed stalactite would be a better option to set up a figure of destiny move
maybe some mind springs for late game mega-drawing
don't forget that pristine angel, when untapped, has protection from all colours and artifacts
maybe a bit more removal like: -crib swap and one of my favourite cards: -master warcraft allowing you to not let any of opponent's creatures block and you can swing for a huge overkill.
why not a firespout or 4?
also, if you want you can always try to splash a bit of black for hollowsage to combine with commerce for active hand-removal too. grimoire thief and ink dissolver are also some good morningtide options for mill and tie in perfectly with the drowner ability. If only Glimpse the Unthinkable was still in standard. Cos then if you splashed a bit of black you could mill ten off their deck on turn two or three depending on mana fixation.
i've got a merrow-mill deck just like this but i always run a couple of 'savor the moment' cards in it. Since all your merfolk untap with merrow commerce, savor the moment gives you an extra turn of milling with drowner, and double the life gain with judge of currents. I've heard a rumor about lord of atlantis coming back into standard in the next core set, so when that comes merrow decks will finally be able to dominate limited and standard events.
justbblunt has a point with the kaldra equipment being legendary i just cant see the point of having 4 of each. focussing on getting the kaldra cards may be more efficient. As said, put in some stonehewer giants, and for extra artifact tutoring, 'enlightened tutor'. this can get any artifact not only equipment
maybe u cant get mox lotus cos its from the Un- sets so is banned under every tournament format
add some aquitect's will cards. these give the opponent islands if they don't already have them, relaxing the need for streambed aquitects

i'd get more creatures like drowner of secrets get a few more counterspells in aswell
taking artifacts out, putting more actual changelings in thnx 4 advice
reejerey would be good to boost your merfolk and you can tap or untap their best cards with its other effect
