Deck Description

My shot at a competitive standard deck able to compete at any tournament. My favorite color to play is red, and burning has been something I have been consistently good at doing. However, i hate burning creatures and prefer to burn the player, so finding the satyr firedancer makes this deck what it is to me...feedback is welcomed

How to Play

basic red burn with white splashed in...get the creatures on the field and use the instant speed on your opponents turn to deal with any possible targets or problems that are presented to you

Deck discussion for Boros Standard Burn

Where's the red dictate for double damage. If your playing reckoner you might as well at least play it as a one of it'll make warleaders helix hit for 16.

i do see what your saying, but i personally feel that the thing that makes this deck work is that it can be a constant turn 6 kill. having the firedancer on the field is a way to burn the player and wipe their field with the burn spells in the deck and i want to really be able to punish the opponent very quickly. in the playtests ive done with this deck, ive never blocked an attack and warleaders helix on turn 4 or 5 really helps keep me alive...in addition to having a firedancer on the field, i not only gain life, i destroy a creature (more than likely) and i burn the player as well. guttersnipe is in there for flavor and thats just about it...although he is great to have on the field in a burn deck because if used as a blocker, the opponent will be eating more damage. i might experiment putting those red dictates into the sideboard and seeing if i ever need them (take out magma spray for them). it is a good way to instantly ramp any damage you can do to an opponent
