I have been working with slivers for the better part of 2009, and from what I can see, you're off to a good start. When I began I tried to make a five color Sliver deck. It worked out for awhile and it won about 40% of it's matches. I had all five Honden Shrines in the deck as well as an Invincible Hymn. The thing is, not all five colors of Slivers are needed. You can narrow it down to just two or three colors and still get the effect you're looking for. Here's what I would suggest. -Green, White, with a few Blue. It's the most effective way to do it. You can have a few red and black creatures or spells, but with the Gemhide Slivers you will NEVER need the land. Promise. -If you have $50, pick up a Sliver Queen, Sliver Legion, and Sliver Overlord. They are all 7/7 creatures that cost one of each to bring out. Sliver Queen allows you to tap mana to put a sliver token into play. Legion gives all slivers +1/+1 for each other Sliver in play. And Sliver Overlord allows you to search your deck for a Sliver and put it into your hand. They're pricy, and Overlord is a Mythic Rare now, but it's worth it. -Also, if you have $25 to spend extra, pick up a Gaea's Cradle. It's a Forest that gives you one green mana for every creature you control. Combo that with a Sliver Queen, and literally in four turns after getting them out you can have up to 60 slivers in play. It's nuts! -Slivers need time to multiply. Defend yourself with white instants that cost one to play. Holy Day is a card that costs one white and prevents all combat damage done in a turn. Moment of Silence and several others do the same thing. They are essential to staying alive long enough to build your massive army. Thank you for bringing up Door of Destiny. I hadn't thought about that card until now, but it's SO perfect! I'm going out and buying one right away!!! And know my solutions are pricey, but if you want a Sliver deck that will own any competition, this one works. Props on using Ancient Ziggurat. You only need one Wild Pair. It's good, but it also allows opponents to do the same thing. If you don't have any money to spend, or you only have so much, I would for sure get the Sliver Queen and Legion first. The Legendary Land is only an added touch to make you unstoppable. If you have no money at all, stick with Gemhide Sliver and put a lot of low costs slivers in the deck. Might and Muscle Sliver are good choices, and Winged Sliver is awesome. There's also a Sliver that's very cheap that gives you flying AND if a Sliver were to be put in the graveyard, return it to the top of the library instead. It's awesome. Hopefully these tips helped! If nothing else, I strongly suggest going down to three colors. If you want to get crazy, add all five Honden Shrines to the deck. Pick up an Invincible Hymn to protect your life. Costs 8 to play, but it makes your life how many cards you have in your deck. Instant 30 or 40 life. Cheers!

Hi, I've been playing slivers since weatherlight saga, and love to see anyone getting into them for the first time. Many ways to do slivers, yes you dont need to go prismatic, though I prefer that way. If you get some of the major slivers, it will help you a lot, I'd directly swap any legions you get for the doors. I love prismatic omen, not seen it before myself, I usually rely on a good mana base and gemhide. Homing sliver's are always good to go fetch the big chaps, normally the overlord so he can then fetch any answers you need. an artifact I found wonderful: Cryptic Gateway oh, sorry, one more, MikeKillam: Wild Pair only affects you. Your opponants get no advantage from it.
i've gone through every type of sliver deck there is in my lifetime, and i found that a deck that runs around dormant sliver (think about it, don't dismiss it because it gives defender, the draw for each sliver palyed is amazing, and the critter is nto legendary, so the rule stacks.) psionic sliver is a must in my decks, just include a might/muscle/ any sliver that benifits at least toughness is good. i need to put my sliver deck up on this website, i can offer alot of help, chat with me if you need more help, on the forum or just comment something random on one of my decks about two times so i notice.
