I was going to start working on a deck for this guy. My idea was pretty different though, being more mill based. Either that or have some kind of merfolk aggro to hold anything off until I get Jin out =/. But since I already made an Elesh Norn EDH dech, I decided to make a deck for each praetor, going in color order. Now for some criticisms, the first one I see is your lands. 40 is, in my opinion, the optimal number for a deck with such an expensive general, but you should run more non-basic lands, rather than just islands. I'm not too familiar with blue, so I can't really help you out with that, but I'm sure you can find some that will work for you really well. Also, you're running blue, you need more counterspells! you have a few, but not nearly enough. But for the very least, add in counterspell itself. I know I had a list of them all somewhere, but they don't come to mind. But so far, unless I missed something, that's all I see immediately.
well first of all this really just started as a deck i litterally threw together with what i had immediatly at hand, secondly i don't need to agressively play mana all i need is to drop either caged sun, or gauntlet of power and next turn i can play the augur and then some. things like treasure mage let me search for caged sun, and i wasn't concerned about basing it around mill, one of the main things is that this guy is a commander that does something immediatly upon entering, i like the whole no hands for your opponent. as for the counter spells, i've never needed that many especially considering that this deck is blue creature based, and besides that counterspell is expensive and i don't have the money for it. if you look the deck is mainly creature based, and it has bounce(could use more), a tiny amount of counters(which is what i planned), plenty of mind control to deal with bombs your opponents play, and a lot, a lot of scary creatures. idk considering that this was made on the spot with what i had, i like it and there's not much i would change, i see what ur saying, but i prefer it as a heavy creature deck.
