Nicol Bolas doesn't distinguish between servants and victims, and neither should you. The deck's main strength and purpose, is to fill up an opponent's graveyard with various effects, then dig up any useful creatures from their graveyard and use them against your opponent(s). Taking creatures already in play will also be an option with Slave of Bolas or Act of Treason.
The main purpose red serves in this deck is to give haste to anything you reanimate with Rise from the Grave or Reanimate. Use your early spells to give you options, like thought scour, riddlekeeper, or dreamborn muse to start filling up your opponent's graveyard. Then, with cards like Gruesome Encore and Rise from the Grave, reanimate your opponent's creatures, and then swing with them. If you're lucky, you can reanimate any of the various "when this enters the battlefield, _" creatures. Or just take any fatty or evasive creature to get in for some damage. Sheoldred, Grave Titan, and Consuming Aberration present targets for you to reanimate from your own graveyard. Snapcaster mage is in to give you extended use out of your necromantic spells, and also your thought scours or windfalls. This deck is by no means competitive, just a fun casual deck where its strength is highly dependent on what creatures are in your opponent's deck(s).
