I totally agree, proliferate rocks! Considering the high mana costs of some of your cards, you probably want to consider upping the lands in your deck to around 26ish. Also dismiss into dream is pretty good especially in a combo with contagion engine and/or contagion clasp

I agree that 20 is to few but I wouldn't go over 23 or 4. cutting 1 or 2 of the Vessels for 2 Expedition Maps will help in getting the Urza lands online.
Very interesting build here and I like many of the things you have going on. My biggest problem would be the Guildgates, they're the worst of all your options and at the very least should be replaced with the life gain lands from khans. Then I gotta ask, have you ever actually won from Darksteel Reactor? It seems cute and very unlikely to ever work out. I think it would b better to run 1 of and then the full play set of Wurmcoils.
I agree about the guild gates. The only thing that even needs red is ral zarek, and to be honest he has very little synergy with the rest of the deck.
True, maybe a swap to Tamio and loose the red all together would be more efficient.
