This deck is a casual deck that I built because I thought building around relentless rats could be fun. I have not play tested this yet.

Looks like a super fun deck!!

Merchent doesn't seem that useful, maybe add for some kind of haste enabler
I happen to think merchant could be another fun wincon, if you don't trample with rats!
You have a point, because it doesn't win by attacking
Ok then...what's the win-con if not attacking?
If I were to build around the merchant, I'd gamble on leyline of the void and creatures with the undying mechanic.I actually have a 2018 mono black devotion where I've always wondered if the deck wouldn't be better without the nyxthos devotion lands. It's decently aggressive but overall kills with about two greys and early beats.Does phyrexian mana add to devotion ?If so, there are some interesting phyrexian creatures available to speed up the concept. You don't have to worry about losing the life if you can play merchants later.
The win con would be the merchant ability if they have something like ensnaring bridge.
The idea is if ensnaring is on the field then I can use commune or orders too look for merchant because the rats at 2 devotion each merchant can gain you a ton of life and take your opponent out plus with the March if you happen to have one in the grave you get 2 triggers with him
That's what I was saying
Why Snowcovered swamps?
Could be he has switched life's finale with blood in the snow without posting it :)Most people want to have some secret tech.
There's the advantage of hiding what deck you really are until later.
Yeah, I call those, mimic decks. :)
Overrun could work really well in this deck, it gives every creature trample and +3/+3. Corpsejack menace as well since it doubles all +1/+1 counters.
