Deck Description

A clever use of séance, Mirror-Mad Phantasm and Laboratory Maniac makes you win the game on turn 6. Credits to jstorrie on the gatherer's forum.

How it works: When you have enough mana (turn 4), play séance. Make sure Mirror-Mad Phantasm is in your graveyard (thanks to buried alive or entomb). On your opponent's turn (after your turn 5, otherwise you won't have enough mana), make a Mirror-Mad Phantasm token and pay (1)(B) to put all your library in your graveyard (since the token will disappear). On your turn, make a token that's a copy of the Laboratory Maniac and attempt to draw for insta-win.

On turn 5, you will have seen 12 cards out of 60, which means that you have roughly 60% chances to have drawn séance. It also means that you have more or less 85% chances to either get entomb or buried alive before turn 5, which is mandatory for the deck to work properly. Therefore, I suggest that you mulligan until you get séance, but no more than twice.

You can add myrs to accelerate the deck a bit, gravecrawlers are only there to provide cheap re-usable blockers. You can also add a few laboratory maniacs if you fear that you opponent might somehow remove it from the game.

If you draw MMP, play it and suicide it on your opponent.

This deck is standard, entomb and buried alive were reissued for Halloween 2011.
