Deck Description

This is what I have so far. With all of the opponent's I've played so far, I get nowhere near enough control and defense to get a successful mill, often times running into situations where I was but one turn away from a win. In other words, this deck needs to survive longer.

I also need help with the banes of all mill, the Eldrazi legends that dot every sideboard. Any help?

keening stone helps out milling, Guard Gomza is great for defense along with Wall of Frost.

After playtesting this deck multiple times, by the time I even get to play the card, I'm usually under heavy fire from opposing creatures, and tapping out would simply be too slow. Maybe in a casual game, but not in my circles.

I agree, adding black will help with the Eldrazi problem.

If you weren't worried about keeping it standard i would suggest you sideboard aether spellbomb to deal with eldrazi. idk if there is anything similar in standard. you could try locking up their mana so they can't spend it. or some prison spells so that they can't attack with the eldrazi? Im not really familiar with standard right now tho.
I agree that you might want to add black. there are so many good black cards for mill. and then you could use suffer the past or ravenous trap to destroy any chance of your opponent fishing cards out of the graveyard.
Mindbreak trap could help you stay in the running if you start getting overrun.

I hope this helped. If it did, check out my decks and see if you can give me any suggestions on any of them.

Except no one runs Spawnsire main board and if you fear mill, you have bigger issues.

I ran Spawnsire in my main board the other night against some friends instead of running Emrakul. Using my infinite mana deck (check my profile for it) i cast Spawnsire and then emptied my sideboard full of Eldrazi, i dropped all four Emrakul's and got 4 additional turns and stomped their faces in with my Eldrazi, it was hilarious. Granted it was a Multi-Player game, but still, hilarious.

The only way of getting rid of those Eldrazi's is to splash back in there for the Black layline. It exciles all creatures that go to there graveyard..So it takes care of the mill problem.

If you're so worried, run Ravenous trap.
