Deck discussion for WR Tempered Steel

if your running the duel color TS deck your deff gunna need the mox. The card really shines in this version. also i would run x2 more clifftop before i ran more mountains

Well I'm running 22 lands so I never feel stuck for either color of mana, and really, after some playtesting, the moxes just don't help enough to be worth giving up a creature spot. You always have enough mana with this deck. Thanks for the suggestions though, and I'd appreciate some feedback on the creature base if you have any, I think it could use some adjustment.

Try out hex parasite to kill off planes walkers, immolating souleater, Myr sire, Phyrexian revoker, Shimmer myr. I think there are better artifacts but it seems like ur going for speed over everything else. Etched monstrosity is really good with hex parasite as for 5 u get a 10/10 artifact with tempered it's 12/12.
Check out my filth deck it has a few artifacts tht might give you some ideas

The Mox's wouldn't replace creatures, they replace land. 20 land is really all you need with this deck, your curve is low and it still runs crazy fast. Because they're legendary, just trade 2 Plains for two Mox Opal and there you go. :) Mox Opal is strong in a Metalcraft-needy deck because it's an artifact that your opponent is rarely, if ever going to target. If you don't have at least two other artifacts on the board that are more threatening than that, then the Opal is dead anyway. As for the Retreats, really... if you have them, they can't hurt. Same goes for Inkmoth Well, that's a beast with a Tempered Steel or two out, though it shouldn't hurt you if you can't or don't want to add them. Having them can sometimes allow you to temporarily gain Metalcraft, though, if you don't have 3 artifacts on the field.

I've been play-testing a TS deck most of the week, so it's pretty fresh in my head. LOL I'm a little surprised you aren't running Etched Champions, but I suppose you traded them in for the Blasts or Curses? This is an interesting take, a little originality is always a welcome sight. :D

Yeah I tried to do something a bit different with adding red, and I do like Etched Champion, but if by chance you end up without metalcraft he ends up pretty boring. I'll test around with him though. And as for Moxes, I could give up lands instead of creatures... idk how that very obvious thing seemed to pass me by before. Inkmoth is cool too I'll see if I can trade for a few, but it's gonna run without for now. thanks!
