Deck Description

Boros forever!!!

Boros is a proud guild, built on the frame of justice and respect. Boros is a guild of war if one looked at it simply, the guild will fight for its ideas.

This deck is meant to quickly deplete your opponent's life total. To do this I would use the battalion ability as much as possible. I hope you all like the deck. Have fun with this deck and please look at my other decks and comment on them also! thx!

Truly,
Whitelord

How to Play

Not much to say that this is what Boros deck should pretty much look like.
I just maybe would exchange Angel's Mercys into Warleader's Helixes and add some Raise the Alarms for early aggro.

Ok thank you, but, why? What if your defenses are trampled? (Literally)

Ohh, I meant that Raise the Alarm can be cast on turn two to get more attackers on turn three...
...and Warleader's Helix kills opposing creature while it heals you.

No need to be sorry. You'll get used with those cards. They are great in Boros.

There now, could you comment on my deck "crushed by hooves"? I love it but want it to be the best it can be.

Your deck needs WAY more lands(Mountains). Anything under 20 lands needs other ways to get mana unless everything in your deck is 3 mana cost or lower. Look at the right side where it says mana symbol occurrence, this is a great tool for deciding how to split your lands when you're running more than one color. Here you have about a 3:2 ratio of white and red mana. My suggestions would be to remove all your elixir of immortality (don't need life gain in early aggro), Dictate, and font of Ire (don't need late game aggro in an early aggro deck) and add 1 plains and 5 mountains in their place. Lightning bolt is almost unanimously considered the BEST red card in the game. If you're going to have it in your deck, put 4 of them in your deck. Reduce your number of magma spray to make room for lightning bolt. Wrath of God is a great card but I don't see its use in your deck besides using it with faith's reward. However, using it with faith's reward will cost you 8 mana and by the time you have 8 mana your opponent should already be dead. I'd switch wrath, and add more boros charms. I'm sorry if it feels like i'm butchering your deck but that's only because I like it and want it to do well.

Last little piece of advice. When building an aggro deck, try to keep your deck focused. It's easy to get distracted and tempted with cool cards and combos, but being well rounded makes for a dull blade. If you want to cut down your opponents quickly, you must be sharp and precise.

I can agree with the lands. You should cut a couple of those more (manawise) expensive cards to add a couple of lands. Otherwise everything is cool.

Modern Boros is great, isn't it? It's fairly straightforward, & what starts as a budget deck can gradually be upgraded. One thing I'd add to the above suggestions: I've never yet had a good experience w/ cards like Boros Garrison, especially in decks that are mostly low CMC; so often, there's just no good time to play them. Given the choice between the two, I'd probably put more Guildgates in, as there's at least no return to hand. But that's just me. :) Thanks for sharing your deck, hope you have good times w/ it!
