Refined my list a little, and felt like posting it.

Decided to refine your list....because of me! :D I'm glad they never decided to make an elf with madness. THAT would be amazing. I love Cabal Therapy. It's so perfect.

Elf Madness was the name of a deck at one point I think, I'm not sure... But it would admittedly be pretty neat. And Cabal Therapy with Bloodghast is sooooo stupidly powerful. I made this list with that interaction in mind, and have had smoother sailings with it than any other deck of mine but Reanimator pre-MM.
Tell me what you think of that Grixis Control standard...thing. It's not perfect yet, so I'd like some help with it. I'm definitly more of a control/aggro or combo player. I suck with pure aggro decks, make too many mistakes since there's less time to think. I was thinking you'd discard a Venge or two...or three, play a Mongrel, then discard the Rootwalla.
I'm not going to lie to you Dag, I'm not good at pure aggro either. But yeah I'll give it a look, I just doubt I can really help. And the little setup you just listed is actually one I've used before, and it is pretty powerful. I actually usually win through Bloodghasts though, which will probably never stop amusing me. There are some pretty powerful Fauna Shaman chains using Quirion Ranger, giving it a bit more of the Survival of the Fittest feel to it.
Hmm.. I like it. I will definitely do my own take on this... except with a little (and by a little, I mean a lot) more hand disruption. BUG actually seems preferable to me, because I can get brainstorm :'D (believe me... worth the splash. this is going to be interesting.
Actually, I was the guy who pushed for BUG initially, but my testing found it to be a bit undesirable at the time. None of it actually wound up being worth it in the deck :/ And I agree that nowadays it'd need to pack more disruption, especially if it stayed as a BG deck.
