Deck Description

Okay, so I haven't had as much time as hoped. Scrapping Outbreak, back to magic.

I've been working, but it's an easy job, but it's an easy job to the point that XFire and having music in one ear is all that keeps me conscious. Being an intern stuck at helpdesk is better than food service at least.

Hey, a job's a job =]

M13 is strange. It's a complete mixed bag really. It has cards with huge flavor, and others with none...Nicely balanced cards, and...Sublime Archangel =/

Overall though, I'm happy with what WoTC did with it

True, and I DO like having money again. Even if it's all going to essentials.

M13 is interesting, but I don't particularly care for it. I don't think a core set should ever be released without Llanowar for one thing. And I don't really get the problem with Sublime Archangel, is it really that powerful right now? It just seems like Baneslayer mk. II to me, and I never saw any problem with it.

Also, in true fashion of me having listened to the Clerks soundtrack yesterday, I'm here on my day off.

If someone plays it and has at least...3-4 other dudes out (very possible with the token-based control deck used now) the exalted ability basically is an auto win =/

It isn't as bad as everyone has been making it seem (shocking, I know), but it is another "mythic angel" that everyone is going to need multiples of...and that's what irritates me. I've been trying to squeeze them into as many of my token spam EDH decks as I can right now...because in that scenario, sublime is pretty damn stupid =P

Speaking of EDH, I know I pestered you before, but I'd like to get your input on my Ink-Treader deck.

As for this deck, only thing I'd change really is the pearl trident and coralhelm dudes. They both do essentially the same thing, but pearl will give you lord bonuses faster. So, I would change to a 3/3 split or even flip the current 2/4

I dunno, I find myself swarming with my Amore e Morte deck, but when I tested with Sublime I still found myself preferring a war of attrition with Blood Artist. I guess it's because of how innately suicidal that deck is, but damn, I win fast with that guy out XD

I like it and all, but because of how I play tokens, it just doesn't have any impact for me. Again, Blood Artist is the biggest thing to happen for me since Bloodghast probably. It changed how I play certain decks entirely.

I know, I know. I keep meaning to look at that deck, but I always dread even looking at EDH designs. Half of the reason I like the Witch-Maw deck I have is because it's so simple, it's modular, and uses a lot of the same packages Zur does. Ink-Treader on the other hand... Ink-Treader takes serious thought.

I agree about the split between Pearl Trident and Coralhelm, it's really important to have fast islandwalk right now.

Well yeah if your tokens/creatures are in a constant state of death, sublime won't do much for ya haha.

As for my EDH, it's actually pretty straight-forward...which, despite it doing well in games, leaves me with this nagging feeling that it could be made better =/

I still gotta see what things I can do with blood artist, because he really is great. Another thing I'm happy to see in m13 is the new illusion dude. I've yet to add him into my illusion tribe, but I bet it will be a great addition =]

Oh, and I don't really think your Which-Maw deck is as simple as you think...that thing has some dirty schenanigans. But I know what you mean about looking at complex EDH decks haha. Arty asked me for a second opinion on his newest Dralnu EDH the other day and I damn near cried because I knew it was gonna be confusing as hell and give me a headache.

You will have a headache. My friend runs Dralnu EDH, and it's obnoxious having to remember that everything you see, you'll see again >_> But the worst EDH deck I've ever played against was Shopkeeps Karn deck... It was an interesting time seeing him sit there and draw four hands a turn because of some bull loop that he wouldn't have noticed if a passerby didn't mention it... I will forever hate that guy

I have a legacy fish deck, its the only one thats BUILT as of right now, and i gotta say, i really like running aquitects will. I honestly prefer it to standstill. I took my stills out for 2 ancestral visions, and 2 aquitects. I cant tell you how many times ive played aquitects on an opponent, then blasted through for the win (considering i run 4 master, 4 lord, and 3 phantasmal image). The problem with still is you HAVE to have a vial and a mutavault to use it at top efficiency. I like the addition of stifle though, i must say. I makes me consider dropping a couple counterspells. Right now i run 2 spell pierce, 4 force, 3 daze, and 2 spell snare. Keep up the good work!
