StifleNought, and CounterTop in casual, because I want to remind you why you hated me.Been tinkering with builds like this all week, but this is as cheap as I can get it whilst still being enjoyable. This is my plat de resistance from the various list I've made within the StifleNought frame I use, and while it's not as powerful as the full frame, it retains a good deal of power.Twelve shuffle effects, eight Dreadnought enablers, and seventy-five cards of dickishness. For a semi-budgeted deck, this is quite enjoyable. And you should go listen to the song Anesthetize by Porcupine Tree, freaking awesome stuff. In fact, go make a playlist with that whole album, some Tool, the Mars Volta, Liquid Tension Experiment, and Rush.
StifleNought, countering the ETB triggered ability of Phyrexian Dreadnought with either Stifle, Trickbind, or now Torpor Orb.CounterTop, using Sensei's Divining Top's stacking ability in response to a Counterbalance trigger, increasing your chance of countering whatever your opponent plays.

Semi-Bugeted? This is an almost $600 deck?

Well considering the last frame I ran for this in Legacy is almost 2000USD, it's a pretty solid achievement.
Well done indeed!
Fatespinner plus Cannonist is one of the more "table-flippy" pairings I know of...nice job chopping off so much of the price tag. Have you looked over any of Dragon's Maze yet? I've already made an EDH with one of the new guild champs and its kinda absurd =PAlso noticed you suddenly have 100+ decks...whatcha workin on? =]
Fatespinner and Cannonist together is just ridiculous... I love it.
There's not really much that pairing doesn't mess with, which makes me so glad I'm the one using it, not the one seeing them across the table :D The lands and FoW are missed, but it's still functional, and that alone leaves me happy. I've not really gotten a chance to check Dragon's Maze yet, I've seen a few things here and there, but only thing I've seen that I already think will be interesting is the Izzet Planeswalker in a Vintage setting. Some of them were variants on this, but I've got a few things I've been tinkering with otherwise. One is an Orzhov design that, once finished, I think you'll like. Might end up a little dirty, but that just adds more fun for me.
For the same casting cost as Trinket Mage, your could just use Fabricate and not worry about the Mage being shut down by the Torpor Orb. Also, with Torpor Orb... Eater of Days is a decent card to look into.
While it might seem like Fabricate is just an overall better choice than Trinket Mage, the Mage being able to dodge even just a few of the counters that my group runs makes him the better choice in the environment.Eater of Days is hilarious with Torpor Orb, but with Dreadnought only casting one, I think I'd stick with them.
I never intended to drop the Dreadnought. That card is a beast with Torpor Orb, I just thought the Eater of Days having Flying could be a good sideboard choice. Although trample does it's job with Dreadnought I suppose.
It is a pretty nice evasive beatstick, but like you said, Trample does the job with the Dreadnought. It is awesome though, and now that I understand what you meant it is kind of appealing.
