Deck Description

Basically revolves around using Assault strobe on the Putrefax to do 10 poison counters in 1 hit, the rest of the stuff to stop blockers or get rid of any creatures in the way.

Any help or suggestions would be good

Deck discussion for Red and Infect....it can work...honest

What about adding (even if only to the sideboard) some Pyroclasm? 2 damage to each creature is nice for taking out swarms and can help get Putrefax through.

That's a thought, I could get rid of the shortcutter - or sideboard him

you should also try to get a smaller attack force, like blight mamba or cystbearer, so that you can ensure the win from putrefax even if someone gets to block it.

going for the asult strobe a putrfax combo requires a great deal of mana for infect so i would say throw in some pyratic ritual just to speed up the prossess

That's why I went for the birds, and the elves. They really speed up getting out the putrefax

Possible turn three he'll be out and swinging

Turn 1 Forest and Elf/Bird
Turn 2 Forest & 2 Elves/Birds or 3 if you have them
Turn 3 Mountain/Forest - Play Putrefax and Assault Strobe

Slagstorm in the sideboard too :D For people with creatures that have toughness 3, it happens alot in Ally decks, weenie decks that use honor of the pure, green buff decks and such. It also looks really threatening against planeswalkers, because you dont reduce the planeswalker's loyalty counter, you just need to bring it down to ten cause its a player too, so slaging it would be nice :P

Just a suggestion

Good call, I wonder if it's more useful than Pyroclasm. I'll do a bit of a playtest as I think I will put this deck together - I quite like it actually

i like it, board wiping is a good strategy the only suggestion i would have it Mimic Vat but this stands up pretty well on it's own.
