Deck Description

My first draft of a crucible deck that may be good in casual play. It has win conditions, it stalls your opponent, and it gets things into play quickly.

Criticism welcome.

How this wins
1) zuran + crucible + Fast bond = infinite life
2) Crucible + Strip Mine = land destruction for 0 mana
3) (Upheavel +) exploration/fastbond + crucible + strip mine = (late) game total control, + black vise + stuffy doll + faerie conclave = damage over time, more than enough to kill someone with no land.

Deck discussion for Crucible with win conditions

So exactly....how does this deck win? Are you winning with life gain or what? Surely the strategy can't be just that single stuffy doll.

How about this one: Walk of Aeons + Crucible of Worlds + Azusa, Lost but Seeking = Inf Turns!! Add in prodigal sorcerer and there's your win condition right there. It would also be nicer if tinker wasn't restricted. I don't really see what win condition you're talking about. I get the orb, and I get the extra land play, but what exactly is your plan to kill, not black vise I hope, that won't really work to well same with the doll, if you only have one of each in the deck.

Thank you for the comments. They don't give you enough room to respond in comments or in deck description, so I did a brief summary of win conditions in the description in response to your posts. Essentially, you can easily take total control of the board by killing their lands, remanding spells, and unsummoning their creatures (if they get to cast any). With the strip mine crucible combo, you maintain land destruction, get doll, vice or conclave. Easy win against full hand and no cards on board

I like the deck, but I could never put something like this together basically because I really only play with my friends and having a total lock down like that would make the game boring. I like the deck though and having more than one combo always makes things fun check out some of my decks.

Fun little thing, once you have zoran, crucible, fastbond, and strip mine you can sac the stripmine to the zoran for as many lands as they have (or whatever number you can think of) to gain life, then at the cost of one life per land, pop all of your opponents lands. And pariah's shield on stuffy doll = laugh till you're head falls off, especially if your opponent has no lands. Maybe more stuffys, more zorans, more fastbonds (they're restricted and so is the tinker, but in casual play who cares)

Just so you know, I am a huge fan of combo decks, I love them. I've seen these combos before but this deck has made me want to build one using them, of course I'll give credit here. Look for it: Crucible Version 2

Horn of greed isn't in here because it would cost you the game. Meloku isn't in here because, i'm assuming, this is a non-creature deck. Also, the point is that you sac the lands to gain life in order to make up for (+ 1 extra) the 1 life you lose for playing an extra land, with meloku you can't sac the land and therefore it defeats the purpose of the entire combo.would it be nice to get 1 1/1 per 1 life you give up? it depends on how much life you have but if you have "inf" life then why worry.

In my deck like this I found you the perfect other win condition, Helix Pinnacle, from eventide. With Zoran crucible and fastbond you not only can gain life, but also mana if you tap the lands before sacing them, thus you can pay 100 mana, put 100 tower tokens on the pinnacle and the next upkeep you win.
