How does Herald of Anguish fit in the SB? Super expensive without the artifacts to tap to get it out on the field. Seems like it's only feature is it's discard, but surely there's something else that could take it's place?

imho too much hand disruption, not enough draw, and not powerful enough win cons, good direction though ur going with this!! :)
modified it to add two blood fasts
This is pretty close to the Standard Mono-Black Deck Tech posted on You Tube this week. Check it out if you are playing this style of deck seriously at FNM . I always like discard strategies and it is nice to see it return to Standard.
I would potentially remove the herald of anguish from the SB for another torment of hailfire or noxious gearhulk, or maybe play with the idea of the primal amulet?
added 2 primals
awesome let me know how that works out for you
I play a deck similar to this on MTGO and yes... there is A LOT of rage quits.
Fatal push maybe?
Also, I'm sideboarding 2 Essence Extractions. Good idea?
Also, how EXACTLY do you win? Whats the finisher? Whats the strategy?
well once you have your opponent locked down they are losing 3 life per turn or worse from your enchantments and if you get to late game and need a finisher torment of hailfire typically will end it. and having a cruel reality in sideboard can be devastating in a long game. This deck focuses on disruption and annoyance of opponents and when you lock them down grinds out a win I think going a blue black version of this could be better for a scarab god but it does its job, ive top 8'd a fnm with it and had alot of rage quits
I love everything about this! I will always champion fun-burglaring!
