Deck Description

Exalted is awsome, but its always nice to boost-up that one guy whos doing the swinging :0) So u need a little soulbinding and other great stuff.

I think the decks mechanics speeks for it self.

How to Play

How to get through with than one guy u ask?

Use angelic benediction, rogue's passage or faith's shield or simply fly over if nothing reaching for ya.

And when u get through... remember to use essence harvest after ur boostet up creature have returned ;0P

Deck discussion for Sublime Exaltation

Maybe Nearheath Pilgrim to Soulbond the creature you're going to attack with. Other than that this deck seems fine.

Honestly, Fiend Hunter. He's sweet but kind of out of place here. Here is a deck I made with Fiend Hunter in it: http://www.mtgvault.com/hyperventilationsystem/decks/my-sundial-deck/

If you make something like that it would be useful.

Not bad. Didn't really think of using fiend hunter, basically an extra oblivion ring in creature form. If your running on a budget, go ahead and take out isolated chapel. Will lower the deck cost a good bit. Not to sure about the evolving wilds, but technically I have a bad history with them anyway lol.

Ye, i really like the fiend hunter, and get alot of use out of him.
I do like the evolving wilds... but maybe i have to many.

Ty for the kind words anyway mate :0)

cathedrals are a little slow, granted they are exalted, but they slow your turns especially if you draw t1, i would sub for regular lands (dual)

Maybe ur right.
Can i ask what Dual land i suggest ( i have 4 godless shrine and 4 isolated chapel) :0)

Well i notice that you have both so instead increase swamps so as to meet the black requirement for vampire nighthawk. If you feel uncomfortable reducing number of cathedrals I would say at max 2 should be your limit!

ok... removed one cathedral and added a swamp :0)

well... it does not play super good.

i think i will rearange something. put in some removal from the sideboard and maybe take out the lingering souls..!?!?

not sure. i just really love the exalted ability and would LOVE to get this deck to work. i dont care about the cost, but its not fun loosing ALL the time if u understand me :0/ tips r very welcome (just dont mess with the sublime archangel ;0)

I'll say removal will improve your deck, but lingering souls is one of the best blockers against aggro right now so its a pretty good mainboard

0

okay... ill put lingering souls back in, and get some rings as removal! :0)

0

Also, have you thought about champion of the parish? You have quite a few humans to pump him and make him a good exalted trigger attacker?

thougt about it, but i dont have room for anything :0( i have the hardest time getting room for the rings...

0

Maybe remove the tormented souls?

0

Nope, its unblockable and SO important in exalted.

haha, I thought the same thing, though they are pretty useless if you want to defend. I used to run esper exalted last summer.

Iv won a few games with it.
The best thing is that no one expects to see an exalted deck, but then again, there is a reason ppl dont see these kind of decks around. They really have there weeknesses. but i think its so much fun to play.
i tweeked it abit sense my last tournament and im gonna play it again tomorrow. but im not gonna win ;0)

but it works around a friendly casual table, where there is no overpowered thragtusk decks allowed :0D

0

haha yeah that works, what do you see as its glaring weaknesses?

0

when u atk with an exalted creature it can be shot with an instance BEFORE all the exalted triggers! meening that my 1/1 attacker who would get to be a 7/7 cause of exalted only have 1/1 untill the triggers will "trigger"! and they do that at the attack phase, but an instance will get on top of the stack and kill my creature before it gets big.

and there is the obvious... its easier to block 1 creature than blocking a lot of creature. so i dont have a flyer, rogues passage, an unblockable, or faiths shield, it can get tough to get through and make the deck work. bur when it do work, i think its the most fun :0)

i play it just to get the sublime angel or 2 down with a coupple of others and just boost up. loven it :D

Ok gotcha. I played the deck last summer like I said and it did ok because the spirit mantle made the attacking pretty much guaranteed. I tried esper because also besides spirit mantle, invisible stalker gets through regardless
and he is protected through hexproof

sounds kinda cool.
it sucks spirit mantle is out :0/

0
Posted 01 May 2013 at 08:58

yeah right? that's what made the deck extremely viable last summer. but invisible stalker is still there and he's a better attacker than tormented soul, you might want to think about that?

yea... but really dont like to play 3 coloures and actually never liked blue. but i know its a great card :0)

thx mate. actually i won a "tounament" last night with the exalted deck. we were only 4 ppl playing. but still :0)
won over: esper spirit, a really good black / red vampire deck and my own selesnya token deck.

i was pretty surprised to win. offcause there is alot of luck an such with the cards u draw. but still... pretty cool ;0P

so i took out angelic benediction and the nighthawks to get room for some removal and the big demon. i think the deck is better balanced now?

any thoughts??

Nefarox isn't exactly the best card for exalted, since he costs to much and is easily removed. Even in late game hes not that much of an ally, since removal is a dime a dozen in most decks. Also 4 sublime angels seems a bit much, 2 at maximum would be better.

I would take out 2 angels, but in some mutilates maybe,or the 2 angels and nefarox then replace the 3 cards with oblivion ring.

An alternative to nefarox is the desecration demon. Hes a 6/6 for 4 mana, and practically the same ability in a way.

0

ill take out nefarox... but i dont like desecration demon that much. i think i will keep all 4 sublime archangels cause they exalted stacks on all creatures :0)

0

O! I never noticed that the angels exalted ability stacks, that is interesting.

its so awsome. the other day i had 2 down at the same time and a 4 other creatures... thats ALOT of triggers :0) and if u have a rougues passage and and maybe a essense harvest in ur hand it should be a win :0)

Essence harvest is an awesome pick here! Definitely surprised to see it used.

How does exalted stack from the angels? Once a creature has an ability, it doesn't receive it twice. Maybe I am reading things wrong, but that is the reason I didn't go with the angel.

read the card mate ;0)

Other creatures you control have exalted.
(If a creature has multiple instances of exalted, each triggers separately.)

I went back and read it again. makes it ramp a little faster with the angels. I put boros charm in my exalted to help against destroy and for the double strike. I have fling sideboarded also.
