Second in the series of cheap-to-build, themed decks that are suited for fun casual play. Light on removal, these decks focus on doing cool stuff with epic creatures and awesome spells. Suitable for beginners. Don't play versus competetive, serious decks. If you like what you see, let me know in the comments. Thanks! :D
The theme of this deck is spirits and recursion: whatever ends up in the graveyard will often return to the battlefield eventually. Soulshift makes sure that you can freely sacrifice your spirits for powerful effects and not worry about losing them. All cards work well with each other and there's even some black removal to top it off. The longer the game goes on, the more incremental advantages you gain- while your opponent's creatures stay dead once killed, yours keep coming back from the grave. Opponents will have to rely on one card they draw each turn to keep them alive, while every card you draw can be worth two- or even more. The wide selection of cards makes sure that each game feels different- there are many synergies and strategies within them. For example: you can cast Iname, Death Aspect and search for powerful spirits such as Bounteous Kirin or Jugan, the Rising Star, putting them in your hand with Soulshift creatures like Promised Kannushi. The deck is easy to customize and has a lot of options. Like big monsters? Play more copies Kodama's Reach and Petalmane Baku, taking out some 3- and 4- drops to make room for bigger creatures. If you'd rather finish the game fast, take out the huge spirits, mana ramp spells and replace them with 2-4 mana creatures and removal. You could even build the whole deck around Devouring Greed if that's your thing!
