Deck Description

A bunch of expensive commons over $2. If you have any others you know of, just let me know. By the way, Alpha and Beta commons and functional reprints don't count. (Seriously - Fire Ambush is worse than Searing Spear but it's at almost $10)

How to Play

The most extraordinary offenders:
#1 Three Visits: $70. More narrow than Farseek? Try again. This common can nab any dual land, ramping your mana on turn 2. Don't forget that the land even enters untapped! From the limited-release Portal set, this card is hard to find floating around a box of commons.

#2 Telekinesis: $30-385. How did a common get such an unbelievably high price? Telekinesis was originally printed at rare in the Legends block, and sits comfortably on the reserved list. The card was reprinted at common in the MTGO Masters editions, but to get it in paper is going to set you back a couple bucks.

#3 Oubliette: $23-$50. A black Oblivion Ring. You may think the double-black casting cost would make it more narrow, but it actually makes it more powerful in conjunction with Gray Merchant of Asphodel. Its popularity and power in Pauper has driven this hard-to-find Arabian Nights card's price way up.

#4 Hunting Cheetah: $30-$35. This card, originally a Portal uncommon, had a limited print. It was reprinted online at common in MTGO Masters Edition III. It does have an interesting effect. Higure, the Still Wind is the only other card to get to search the library off of a combat damage trigger, and Cheetah only needs a damage trigger. I can see it now: Cheetah enchanted with Power of Fire. So janky!

Some of the other top cards are Sinkhole (which isn't Pauper-legal), Chainer's Edict, False Defeat, Tangle, and Slashing Tiger.
