probably a good idea. I like that evolving thins the deck, but it will probably slow me down too much. the original miracle deck which was block used feeling of dread to slow down early game.

I like tamiyo over jaace in this deck personally. I would even put in gideon over jace in my opinion. The role tamiyo played in the Haynes deck was to stall the opponent. lock down their threats when you had no feeling of dread or terminus. tap their important wolf run or dual land. Jace is great, but he is a mill card and this is not a mill deck (preferably) although it doesn't need to be a mill deck to mill out an opponent with jace, I don't think it should be this decks focus. Gideon also does a great job of stalling. Buy's you at the very least one guaranteed turn, normally more. That's my opinion anyway

I would suggest sphere of the suns. it helps you ramp up faster and can get you the right color mana. It would suck to be up to 8 land with no red source for gisela or something similar. And with only four sources for each splashed color I could see that happening.

I like where this is going! It looks pretty good. I think if you ran it just like this it would do well, I can offer cards for you to consider though.

Lashwrithe- living weapon that gives +1+1 for each swamp you control. can be a great win condition, especially with the flyers.

Black suns zenith- It has multiple uses. It can take the +1+1 counter off of your undying creatures so they can undie again, and it can can wipe a board, kill creatures with hexproof, kill indestructible creatures, and just cripple your enemy. I think this should be in here just to fend off some early fast aggro decks.

phyrexian obliterator- a great card that is hard to ignore in any mono black deck, 4 drop 5/5 trample with a great ability. can't argue with that

Liliana- has great synergy with this deck with the creature sacking to activate morbid and kill pesky hexproof guys. and you can discard your reassembling skeletons and just buy them back.

Gravecrawler- A one-drop creature is one of the things I thought this deck needed. It get's the ball rolling and get's you doing damage early. also if you have a zombie out you can buy it back to resack it. I like the idea

black cat- two drop that's a zombie and when it dies target player discards a card at random. Gives you card advantage, possibly gets rid of something good.

well that's all I can think of! lol you have a lot to ponder

Umm, I can give you three demonlords, 3 blood artists, distress instead of night terror (two mana to look at a hand and make them discard a card) I can also give you another harvester of souls in place for the renegade demon since it's the same cost for a better creature.

Just make a list of any cards you might want and text me and we can hopefully meet up somewhere.

I will make my own version of this type of deck at some point and you can look at it and see which cards you like and dislike and see which ones you'd like to acquire if you'd like

I like the general idea, the demonic taskmaster and demonlord of ashmouth are great cards. I think you should try to centralize the strategy a bit though. You have a wide variety of cards which isn't bad, idk if these are all cards you own. I think the main strategy should be getting out the demonlord and taskmaster and swinging with them.

+4 tragic slip -Great removal card, works well with the morbid effect.
I would add more Brimstone volley for the same reason
The dual lands will make this deck flow very smoothly, so it would be a good idea to try to acquire those as well. (dragonskull summit, Blackcleave cliffs)
sangromancer would fit well into this too. I'd put at least two in.
Wishful thinking would be to put liliana if the veil in as well, she's perfect for this deck.

+2-4 Geths verdict
Grave exchange is very expensive for a decent ability.. I'd prefer one less for unburial rites to return a creature from the graveyard to the battlefield.

Me and matt have most of these cards and we can borrow them to you

Yeah, that's solid. I was thinking maybe two more whipflare over black suns just to keep with the pro red theme, and it's easier on the mana curve, and it kills most aggro creatures. And maybe making room for that other pro-red guy, vulshok refugee. or just take out two black suns for the refugee. I'm thinking two.

Thanks man haha, I was pretty pumped when I thought it up. I was running into the same problem with the slags, I've debated shimmering grottos in the lineup of land but i'm not sure.

Typhoid rats wouldn't be bad either! combine kill with chump blocking. could come in handy early and late game. That is my suggestion.

To each his own I suppose, but this way your burn spells can be used against your opponent directly to get that "extra 5 life" that has been out of reach.
