The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...
Start typing a card name and use the auto-complete feature to quickly select the card you're trying to add. Enter a quantity and add that card to your sideboard!
Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.
Frogs are awesome. So why not frog tribal?
Use control spells like Fog, Dissipate, and Negate to control your enemy while you get your frogs out. Frog Tongue is for those pesky flying and a free card. Turn to Frog, Omniphobian, or Polymorphist's Jest, can all be used to combo and steal your opponents creatures with Peer Pressure. Use Plaxcaster Frogling to put counters on your other frogs. Multiple Omniphobian's with +1/+1 counters can be useful for one of it to use its tap ability.

Spore frog is one of my favorites.

Much agreed. Built in Fog rocks.
dude that wombo combo of peer pressure and polymorphist's jest is just to good... gg well played
bloated toad isn't a frog, check its creature type
Yeah, if I was going to use this I would probably put some changelings instead of it.
It is a frog actually. Its one of the old cards that wizard has messed with to make it fit with established tribes
It is a Frog.Toads become Frogs in Magic the Gathering world in 2007. Sorta weak of them since Toads and Frogs ARE NOT the same species. Go figure.
Interesting. Thanks for the info
oh snap! sorry bout that. I just wanted to add that i think this deck is really cool and im planning on getting it myself to play with my casual group. :)
A budget deck with frogs and control cannot be bad.
..........I would beg to differ but opinions are like a$$holes everyone has one and they stink.
Yep. Love the flavor. I tried something like this a few months ago. I love Frogs!
I like to how you kept it budget at EXACTLY $25! That is awesome and the deck is super cool too. Great job with this one.
I second that!
The concept is good but against aggro and token midrange peer pressure plus jest is a nonbo? This deck seems so fun i wish it was viable in my meta. .
I find the lack of Brainstorm to be a great injustice even for a casual legacy deck.
While brainstorm is an effective card, I just find it difficult to fit it in a $25 budget with the way the deck is right now.
Why? It's only a dollar or so.
Not sure what I'd remove to be honest.
Bad cards i would assume so....Take your pick lol.
Seems you would need more creatures and a little less counters. Maybe add Crocanura, frog with reach and evolve seems to be a nice fit. Also Chub Toad could be fun to block with, a 3/3 toad for 3 not bad at all. How about a few species gorger for the big finish if you don't get your peer pressure? Hall of Triumph or obelisk of urd could help pump all your frogs.
Y u no spore frog? It's basically fog plus it's a frog.
For it to be a tribal deck doesn't it need to have 1/3rd of the deck as the same creature type? Otherwise nice deck!
To answer that question....yes and no. Lots of people argue over what is a Tribal Deck. Example: I have a Frog Tribal deck. In the deck I have 4 Llanowar Elves for mana ramp. Is this deck a true Tribal deck? Example 2: I have a Frog Tribal deck. In the deck I only have 8 Frogs. Is this deck a true Tribal deck? Example 3. I have a Frog Tribal deck. In the deck is 20 Frogs. In this deck I do not run a single Tribal Sorcery or Tribal Instant card. Is this deck a true Tribal deck? In my humble opinion a Tribal deck is a deck that: Is designed to win by a certain/central type of creature. Meaning: If you have a Frog Tribal deck that wins by using frogs, then it is a true Frog Tribal deck. If the deck uses the 4 Llanowar Elves, so what, because the Elves aren't winning you the game. They just provide mana ramp. If the deck only has 8 Frogs, so what, if you can use those 8 frogs to win. But some purist see it different. They love to see 16+ Frogs, no Elves (or any other type of creature besides Frogs), and want to see Tribal Sorcery and Tribal Instant cards. So...in short, it is subjective.
I see what your saying but Wizards provide a clear definition as to what constitutes a tribal deck, stated on their website and everything!! 1/3rd of all the cards must be of the same creature type, and no sideboard allowed.
Oh, snap. Good job on that research Sohlon! +1 Reputation. Interesting with no sideboard rule...especially for tourneys. Do they state that Tribal decks must have Tribal Instant or Sorcery cards? Looks like that should be one of the rules...if they are going to be so technical with the constitution of the deck. But then again, they phased on Tribal Spells and may not go back to them. There are only 50 or so of them.
Yeah no sideboard is a bit of a hamstring but I guess its to try and push it as more of a casual format although I know there are a fair few tribal tourneys at least where I'm from. There is no mention of tribal spells in the rules, literally just the 1/3rd rule and the no sideboard thing.
Made a couple changes based on suggestions... Added Spore Frog, Obelisk of Urd, and Species Gorger. Removed Polymorph's Rush, 1 Polymorphous Jest, and a couple counterspells
I think those are some decent changes.
Its a cute deck. Best combo seems like Omnibian and peer pressure.
Lovely :DWell done ;)
I've considered making a Frog deck for a while but really wanted for it to be Modern as no one I know plays Legacy. Still, this is an awesome idea for a deck and I'll certainly be making note of it!
I know exactly what you mean. My group of friends all play modern, but I'm also looking for people on legacy at FNM (when I go).
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles beat up Frogs.http://www.mtgvault.com/jessie/decks/mutant-ninja-turtle-in-magic/1st. Master Biomancer (turns creatures into mutants when they come into play)2nd. Horned Turtle (now a mutated turtle)3rd. Sakashima's Student (clones the mutant turtle and turns him into a Ninja).3/6 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle for the Win!!!Fly Storm Crows and run Frogs!!!
Aren't there more frogs than that?
Not many, but some of them aren't very usable.
I don't think the omniphibians are worth it. How about the automaton from m12?
Link to the card? I'm not sure what you're talking about.
http://www.mtgvault.com/cards/search/?q=Adaptive+Automaton&searchtype=name&ps=20&s=M12
Eh that's an alright replacement for Obelisk of Urd, but it puts the deck over the budget by about $4.
Oh...
greatest theme deck
Have you thought about splashing some red for pyroclasm after polymorphists jest?just for the lols of a cheapo board wipe, oops!
ew no.
No that would be a bad idea because I use Peer Pressure to steal the creatures that I turn into frogs. Stealing a couple big creatures can really win games. If Peer Pressure is not available. I can always block and kill them as they are weak frogs.
Oh sorry haha, I didn't see that combo at first glance.Your way makes more sense!
haha this is awesome! great idea!
How did you get 4k views in two months? >_>
Here's a simular deck but it's standard legal but also its theme is dragons tell me what you guys think http://www.mtgvault.com/mrcannabis/decks/dragon-aggro/
hardened scales would be evil in that deck if you keep messing with graft
Instead of Turn to Frog, I would use Polymorphist's Jest. It's basically Turn to Frog except all of your opponent's creatures turn to frogs instead of one.
Not gonna lie, im building this deck because of you :D
Frog Tribal, not sure what to think. You should put in the title 'Please No Steal'
