I've heard of a charix - phenax crab mill.Phenax god of deception let's you tap creature for a mill equal to their toughness, and charix is pretty tough ;)

Agreed, Charix + Phenax is a brutal combination, but Phenax is severely lacking in large snappity claws, a rock hard exoskeleton, and weirdly mobile eyestalks, all of which are important features for a good Crustacean tribal deck ;)Also, that means splashing black for a single card (and maybe Glimpse the unthinkable), plus i already have a dimir mill deck on here from a long time ago (Zombie Mill) :)
You have the mana for it, but I see the idea.Maybe we could make people start using the decktag theme, to warn others that it's a theme deck.On the other hand, I'm really bad at noticing notations like that. I barge in before people give me a hint ;)I think indestructible counts as a hard shell, but otherwise he's a hard sell on the theme ;)
You make a reasonable point about indestructible being close to an exoskeleton, so for that i think he can fit into a sideboard at least ;)
Is this site secretly a hub for mill players? I swear every time I check out some decks somebody has posted a new take on mill. +1
Mill is very popular in modern at the moment, though most sites doesn't show the decklists for some odd reasons.I've speculated if it's to manipulate prices, but can't put a finger on it.Mtggoldfish lists lots of mill and lists it at 1.8% of the current meta.We also have a troll that posts a lot of decks, and some of those might be mill, but I'm not certain if I'll blame him for an influx in mill :)I'm a very focussed miller myself and very competitive at it, though my builds are currently being redesigned.I test my own mill against an rw prison deck designed to take out mill.
Could very well be market speculation, I knew a guy who used to manipulate data on mtgtop8. He slowed down the flow of information and manipulated data to pick up cards from new sets before people knew they were good. Arena mostly stopped his shenanigans, but he apparently made enough to live luxuriously in the states.
Since mtgtop8 is one of the sites not posting mill decks someone is probably imitating him :)The other site is tc decks.I guess the temptation is too big.The only thing I'm grieving is that most of the mill designs that do get to the top are mindlessly copied.I've led a grudge war against visions of beyond since 2018, and noone has cut more than 1 from top builds for almost 3 years.I saw your mill and liked it, but didn't comment because I was busy at that time.I run deep analysis on individual cards by using paperstrips as a statistical computer so I have a lot of data on different mill cards. Search for the decktag: wdm mill guide to see a list of all the cards I've analysed.I might test out other mill cards if I get interested in them, though it will take some solid arguments ;)
You could add iceberg cancrix, and have all the islands become snow
Why was it put in the sideboard, but you swapped out the islands?
Yeah of course, i'm not sure why i didn't have that originally actually.... thanks haha
haha just typed it into the wrong bar, you happened to see the deck half way through swapping it over
"There are no mistakes" - Wise turtle
whats the point of prismatic vista, cant you just substitute that for 4 islands or additional myriad landscapes?
For more landfall
It serves the same purpose as Fabled Passage, its not mana fixing, its double landfall triggers per turn.
