Not quite sure what you're proposing to accomplish with this deck other than getting Progenitus in play. The deck needs a finisher of some sort. Progenitus alone isn't a guaranteed victory in any way, shape or form.

Yes he is! His "Protection from everything" ability lets him not only be completely undamaged by anything, but allows his to evade his opponent's creatures entirely! However, I would recommend something to deal immense damage to your enemies with one of your Thopters, like a Quietus Spike or some such. Good luck!

No he isn't

he can still be blocked. He just wont take damage.
And cards like Wrath of God that don't target him can still destroy him.

As far as finishing cards go, Darksteel Colossus is better

Progenitus can't be blocked...however, you are correct; decks that use mass-removal spells of all creatures on the field will either put him back in the library or remove him from the game. Therefore, it is best not to bank on JUST Progenitus to win the game
