I got 4 Nahiri from opening booster packs and wanted to make a Standard deck, but I realized most of the powerful cards in Standard had "When you cast" triggers. so I switched to Modern and used Emrakul. Looking to capitalize on achieving Nahiri 's ultimate quickly, and using beat-down from Eldrazi as a secondary means of play.Any and all suggestions for improvement are welcome.
Edited after making changes suggested by subscribers:Get Nahiri out as soon as possible and protect her. Protection comes in the form of removal and creatures for blocking. There is some minor ramp with Hedron Crawler and Eldrazi Temple. Ultimate Nahiri and smash in with Emrakul for the win.Any and all suggestions for improvement are welcome.

I have not seen anyone playing a similar build online. I have a limited play group because I am in the military stationed over seas. The deck works great against the people I play with. Would love to know what changes could be made to make it better, aside from the obvious dual lands and fetch lands.

I feel like you should max out on Smashers, and also play a set of Matter Reshapers, the card seems too good and protects Nahiri well. If you want to stay R/W, I would cut the Lingering Souls for just more interactions, Lightning Helix possibly. Otherwise you really want a Black Source so you can flash it back, but that would definetely require Duels and Fetches to be efficient.
I appreciate the feed back and will try out the Helix. The main reason I went with the Lingering Souls was from the aspect of having 2 blockers for one spell, especially if my opponent got something out that could not be killed with 3 damage.
The more I look at Matter Reshaper, the more I think you are correct. I left this card out originally because most of my impactful permanents are 4CCM, but I was not considering the concept of possibly gaining an impactful spell. Adding more Eldrazi with a mandatory colorless in the casting cost will make me completely redo my mana base.
If anything I would cut the Hedron Crawlers for +2 of both Thought-Knot and Smasher, just much higher impact cards.
So far adding the Matter Reshapers has worked out well. I will look into removing 2 Hedron Crawler for 2 Thought-Knot, but removing the othe 2 for Reality Smasher goes against the purpose of the deck which is get Nahiri out quickly and protect her. The Smasher is more of a backup plan if I don't draw Nahiri or my opponent can remove her.
Would it not be better to invest in some stomping ground, battlefeild forge or wooded foot hills to spash green and be able to run something like evlish visionary over the crawlers as the get out narhiri faster. I also feel that blessed alianace just doesnt to enough for two mana, runnong something like boros charm or path to exlie would prnbbabaly win your more games. Espehsaly if your creatures get removed.
Adding green does very little to this style of deck, the Cantrip alone isn't worth it. Instead of Hedron Crawlers I would just want to fill out the playsets of Displacer and another Smasher. And about Blessed Alliance, it does fill a specific role in this kind of deck. Lightning Helix is probably too much for the manabase to handle, Alliance is the only other option. Lifegain and removal. Even it's untap clause is very effective with the mass of creatures. And he's already playing a playset of Path To Exile, Boros Charm does extremely little in this kind of deck. (Indestructible being maybe the only valuable effect, maybe the double strike, but not enough to warrant inclusion.)
well ok then, Im always wary of cards that dont help you win on an empty board.
Thanks for your service, & this looks great. :)
