They recently printed a new standard version of Taigam's Scheming called Contingency Plan in the Eldrich Moon set.

I like the deck, but I think it is lacking direct damage. Go down 2 Soul Separator, 2 Kalitas, and 2 Hanweir Garrison and replace with direct damage.
I took a crack at making a pauper deck once. Mono Black Deathtouch. Worked pretty well but could not keep my small group of players interested in continuing to play. ??
I am curious on whether you find 16 instant/sorcery enough. I have a deck which runs TITI with 21 instant/sorcery and he does not flip very regularly. However, flipping him is not the primary purpose of the deck I have him in. It is just extra when it happens.
So far adding the Matter Reshapers has worked out well. I will look into removing 2 Hedron Crawler for 2 Thought-Knot, but removing the othe 2 for Reality Smasher goes against the purpose of the deck which is get Nahiri out quickly and protect her. The Smasher is more of a backup plan if I don't draw Nahiri or my opponent can remove her.
I love the deck, but would make the following changes: I would cut the Noyan and 1 Aberrant Researcher and add in 2 Eldrazi Displacer. Displacer will allow you to create numerous loops of flickering your own Tidecaller to get back spells to bounce their creatures. I would also cut 2 Sandstone Bridge, 2 Island, and 3 Plains to replace them with 3 Prairie Stream, 2 Wastes, and 2 Evolving Wilds.
Love the deck, just keep in mind that Taigam's Scheming is no longer standard legal.
The more I look at Matter Reshaper, the more I think you are correct. I left this card out originally because most of my impactful permanents are 4CCM, but I was not considering the concept of possibly gaining an impactful spell. Adding more Eldrazi with a mandatory colorless in the casting cost will make me completely redo my mana base.
I appreciate the feed back and will try out the Helix. The main reason I went with the Lingering Souls was from the aspect of having 2 blockers for one spell, especially if my opponent got something out that could not be killed with 3 damage.
I have not seen anyone playing a similar build online. I have a limited play group because I am in the military stationed over seas. The deck works great against the people I play with. Would love to know what changes could be made to make it better, aside from the obvious dual lands and fetch lands.
