Deck Description

Sort of a Hybrid Mil Agro deck. Comments welcome

How to Play

Get consuming aberation out and go to town. Use the few counters removal spells to stay alive long enough for the aberation to win you the game.

Lazav and the Aberation are amazing together, and Mirko is great too.

Deck discussion for Dimir Mind Ripper

Hi, what seem to be the aim of this deck? Mill and have a lot of creatures that help with that?

Not a huge fan of Soul Ransom. Yes it does steal a creature, yes it does have to make them sacrific 2 cards and the creature... but then they gain 2 cards and you've lost the stolen creature. I would say Soul Ransom being better for a Dimir/Rakdos discard aggro deck would be better suited.

Check my deck out for some better ideas for improvements. Even though mine is less aggro, and more control.

I actually like Soul Ranson, if I read the card right it's not them but you who draws the cards:
"You control enchanted creature"
"[...]Soul Ranson's controller sacrifices it then draws two cards..."

So they're down a creature / god / similarly difficult to touch creature, two cards and you're up two cards.

It is a Mill Agro deck, bit light on the control stuff but I wanted to have a large creature presence.

As Ciaranhorrex said the Soul Ransom is in there for 2 reasons, dealing with a pesky creature and giving card advantage. If the opponent wants their creature back they have to get 2 cards in hand then discard them and then I get 2 cards.

Fair enough. I think I had misread the card. That is much better than I thought before if you get 2 cards from it.

I take my comment back then. ^_^
