The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

I'm entering my first constructed type 2 standard tournament today with my Illusion control deck. Took me a while to make this deck, and with a few suggestions I think I've made it pretty balanced. I'd love some tips on how to play this deck against other common decks, and any sideboard options or tweaks you can see that I can make. I don't expect to win, but I'd love to see my deck actually 'flow' and work. The idea behind the deck is simple. Bear first turn Lord of the unreal second turn Grand Architect third turn Treasure Mage turn 4 (If I don't have wurmcoil or steelhell kite in hand, and drop them by tapping my blue creature for (2) mana by using Architects ability) Doomblade/Go for the throat/Mana leak are for simple control, and surgical for exiling pesky cards/linch pin cards like birthing pod, etc. (Also get to see the persons deck and hand for 1 mana can't beat that) Ponder is for digging for cards. I iwsh I could run 4, but I don't know what else to cut. Like I said I appreciate all help. Thanks, Eric

Keep Surgical Extraction in your sideboard for combo-based decks. Replace Mana Leak with good old-fashioned Counterspell, If you have the funds, you could get Darkslick Shores too, to improve your chances with mana. Preordain is good too, for controlling your draws, but mostly you need to be able to get out your Lords, so some Diabolic Tutor would be great.
