Would Gavony Township help out? How do you typically create mana bases? Also is there any disadvantage to using Detention Sphere over O-Ring?Just that Detention Sphere cant target Detention Sphere? I changed around my American deck if you don't mind taking a look at its mana base. Thanks! http://www.mtgvault.com/utherkin25/decks/usa-mid-range-2/

I like where you are going with this deck! If I had a chance to improve a few things I would go with removing the Smite cards and adding in Hellrider somewhere.
I suggest removing Smite because your creatures are very dependent on attacking to maximize their efficiency and Smite doesn't add anything for that. If you wanted to keep Smite then you could cut a couple of the lingering souls (or something else) for Midnight Haunting and have a surprise waiting for the attacking opponent.
Hellrider is just an awesome card that can really bring on the pain and fit into the surprise Battalion tactic like with the Loyalist.
If you dont mind could you take a look at my USA Delver deck. I could especially use some advice on the Mana Base. Thanks!

What is your typical Metagame? Is there a lot of variety to the decks that you face?

Maybe you could add in Devil's play? You can double it up using Chandra for ALOT of damage as well as with Increasing Vengeance and Reverberate. It could lead to some surprising blowouts. Ref. Gatherer Website.
" If the spell Increasing Vengeance copies has an X whose value was determined as it was cast (like Earthquake does), the copy has the same value of X."
" If the spell Chandra copies has an X whose value was determined as it was cast (like Consume Spirit does), the copy has the same value of X."

If you have the time could you please check out my updated USA Mid Range deck please. I could use some help with the mana base as well as your thoughts on side boarding for my metagame.

Heya! Yet another wonderful deck! I ran something similar to the Crusade for Freedom deck you made and I won my FNM! I definitely like the new setup. For my playgroup there is a lot of graveyard based play so I make sure I have Rest in Peace in the sideboard just in case ,but it seems like Slaughter games is what is prevalent in yours. What cards would you take out to put in your sideboard cards? I always get frustrated between games thinking what to take out. Have you thought of Izzet Charm being used in place of some of the burn/counters? I know that pillars exile mechanic is awesome ,but if you don't face too many graveyard based decks it may help give you more choice.

I plan on evolving my deck to more of a mid range build for now. I was looking at one on Youtube and liked the idea of it. Let me know your thoughts please and good luck with the new deck! :)

Take a look if you get a chance.

Okay, so I looked into it on Gatherer,
http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=259205
It says that the X would have the same value but you cant add to that value at that time! That sounds awesome!! How do you think that affects the use of Bonfire vs. Devil's Playground in this deck?

It says that when the spell is created from the (-2) abilities trigger that it goes on the
stack. So if you did the (-2), then Supreme Verdict, the second Supreme Verdict goes on the stack.

Assuming nothing happens, the First one resolves and kills the Thragtusk and his ability creates the token, then the second one resolves and kills the Token. Is that wrong?

That leaves me very confused after reading the linked article. He did a lot of those shenanigans with Chandra at the tournament he played in.

I have only been really playing for a year now and I am just recently trying to get into Standard since a friend of mine is running a card shop now. Your thoughts are greatly appreciated!!!

Have you considered using Chandra to double up on the spells like Sphyx's Revelation, Entreat and the board wipes? Couldn't she be used to copy board wipes and then get rid of Thragtusk and other cards that leave a creature behind?

I love the deck! Very cool! A few questions for you.

Do you find yourself with a couple Geist of Saint Traft in your hand limiting you from playing more?

Do you end up losing a lot of life due to your lands?

Why have you gone from using Thought Scour in previous control decks to using think twice?(Detention, Destruction & Judgement http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=392017 )

In what situations do you bring in Gisela and the Detention Spheres?

I'm sorry I don't have any suggestions ,but hopefully my questions will spark ideas! Thanks!

Why do you not use this deck anymore? Do the other decks surpass it that much?

Some more cards to help guard Sisay would be very nice for this deck. Such as:
General's Kabuto
Whispersilk Cloak
Champion's Helm
Lightning Greaves
Swiftfoot Boots
Mask of Avacyn
Darksteel Plate
Spirit Mantle

I know my playgroup has a lot of creature removal focus and I rarely can keep my General out without some good protection.

Besides that the deck looks good!

Love the deck! I love the Mikaeus and Unbreathing Horde Combo! Is there any way to add in some Enchantment and Artifact removal?

Heya, thanks for the Mill Deck Comment on http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=359651

I love the concept here. Lots of really good synergies! When playing do you ever find yourself running low on the library? I see you have the Lab Maniacs in the sideboard in case ,but I am just curious.

You may want to sideboard Crusade and put in Honor of the Pure in case you are going against a deck with White creatures. Armored Ascension is on the expensive end and only gives a buff for plains which isn't as powerful since this is a white/green deck. Maybe instead you can put in some Brave the Elements? I like Wilt-Leaf Liege but I feel that you will get more bang for the same mana cost out of Kinsbaile Cavalier. (Using Brave the elements to get through a few knights with double strike from Kinsbaile Cavalier is awesome!) So if you were to replace those things it is looking more like a mono white deck. Maybe if you stay white/green you could add in some green instants/enchantments. I always liked Rancor lol. I hope my comment is helpful! Here is the link to my Knight deck. Let me know what you think.

From what I am seeing this is pretty good :) If I were to change a few things I might take out some of the more expensive cards and put multiples of the rest that aren't at 4 yet to make it faster for a head to head match. If it is Multiplayer then I think it would be fine how it is :) One other things you could possibly do is sideboard the "Protection From" cards and bring in the appropriate ones for the deck/decks you are playing (This assumes you have more available). I definitely love Brave the Elements! It has so many good uses! I mainly use it to get through a few knights with double strike and that's usually the end lol.

Here is my Knight deck for your consideration. Feel free to comment :)

Brave the Elements is definitely a great idea! If I was going to put it into your deck I would probably take the Planeswalkers and/or the Pentarch Paladin out and add it in. A few knights out with doublestrike and a well timed brave the elements will end the game. Taking out the more expensive ones will speed up the deck. If you are in a multiplayer game which will last longer for you then that would be a different story imo. If that is the case then I would just eliminate a few of the multiple lower end creatures and add the Brave the Elements in. I hope that helps! Here is my deck for your critique though I would like to put that card in as well! Im sick of my knights getting killed by instants lol!!!

Heya, I have also built a tribal Spirit deck and I have had great success. It all started when I pulled the Geist of Saint Traft card lol. The card that has really helped it the most has been call to the kindred. The friends I play with hate that card with a passion now lol. I have pulled out a Drogskol reaver a few times with it ,but I am not sure I would want to add four of them to the deck in hopes of getting them that way. Unfortunately I havent had much love with Drogskol captain since he immediately gets demolished by something lol. There is definitely a price difference between our decks though minus your uber land of course. Let me know what you think.
