Tinfins is a combo deck.It either kills with a Reanimation plan, a storm kill with Tendrils or HARD CASTING Squiddly Diddly aka Emrakul.
Basically you want to Reanimate a Griselbrand and draw your deck out. You use Children of Korlis off of a Lotus Petal to gain the life that you lost. Then just build up a storm count of about 9+ then Tendrils him out OR you can just go with the beat down plan by reanimating Griselbrand or Jin-Gitaxias or Emrakul. (respond to the graveyard shuffle with either a Shallow Grave or Goryo's Vengeance) OR Hard cast Emrakul: loop Griselbrand+Children+Lotus Pedal combo, use Cabal Therapy on yourself discarding Emrakul, shuffle graveyard full of rituals and pedals back into library, continue to draw off of Griselbrand, loop as needed until you have 15 mana to hard cast Squiddly Diddly, take your extra turn and ride it out from there.

Curious as to why you would use the fetch lands where you're only using one type of land? Surely it would be better to just use basic land? Or am I missing something?

Thin your deck out so you don't draw as many lands. But I guess that would be a miniscule difference you could take them out.
maybe a few exhumes
Why would I need exhume? I have 4+3+2 reanimation spells.Exhume is bad, it's to slow and the opponent can reanimate something as well.
