Deck Description

I love pingers, and I wanted to come up with a quick and reliable way to win the game with one of the most annoyingly fun cards out there - Prodigal Sorcerer. Also, other than Charisma and Mind Over Matter, I have no rares in the deck and without them the deck would cost less than $20 based on average value - so it is pretty cheap too!

PLEASE NOTE: I do not, and will not, use any cards that were created after Scourge. I only use cards that existed prior to the start of Mirrodin. (I know this is stupid but it's my one and only rule.)

Any suggestions are welcome.

How to Play

Pretty self-explanatory. You ping your opponent continuously and win the game either from damage, card advantage and/or creature repo.

Pemmin's Aura is there to untap and give shroud.
Curiosity is there to draw cards.
Charisma is there to gain control of creatures you can't ping to death.
Sigil of Sleep is there as a backup for Charisma.
Diplomatic Immunity is to protect the pinger you pumped up with enchantments.
Countermagic is there to protect from global wipes or targeted destruction.
Mind over Matter for an infinite combo with a pinger and Curiosity

Deck discussion for Ping, You're Dead

I don't know cards pre-mirrodin well enough to properly suggest anything. All i can say is that pinging has always seemed more reds schtick than blues. But tim did come first. . . Looks good for teh lols.

I agree that red is more about direct damage, however I don't think that there is any colour which has as many "tap to deal 1 damage" creatures - with no backlash - than blue. Blue even has aura's that do the same thing like Psionic Gift and Hermetic Study. And you're right, this deck IS amazing for the lulz, but it actually works too :)

I really love Quicksilver dagger and I wanted to splash red for it as well as Razorfin Hunter, but I decided against it for now. Always there in the sideboard though. As for Mind Over Matter, it's a great card for a semi-infinite combo. To be honest, I didn't even think about it with Curiosity. I'll definitely have to consider it - sideboarded for now. Thank you very much!
