Deck Description

5 Color Angel Deck I've finally gotten around to making. It has answers for a lot fo things from mid to late game. Sometimes early game goes well two with the sol ring and manavault. I purposely made this a pure angel deck, meaning that all the creatures are the creature type Angel. The basical idea is you ramp up into quicksilver amulets while using vindicates and balance and wrat and nevinyrrals disk to balance out early game. Everything you put down is a threat in this deck.

How to Play

This deck is played like a casual stompy control deck. You have a lot of options.

Deck discussion for 5 color Angel deck

honestly this is WAY to wishy washy. you need to keep this 3 main colors at least imo. i think you'd have alot of luck with b/r/w. and kepping things like vindicate paired with path to exile to get rid of things early.maybe condemn? or even terminates/dreadbores. some 2 day of judgments would help too. and if you really wanna go all color for all those land amulet of vigor and prismatic omen with diplomatic immunity

i have done r bw. it is efficient. this was my experiment with 5 color since i own all the cards. i would not use paths because stp is superior here. day of judge is a worse than another wrath. i can tutor for balance or nevins disk. i have kor haven setup for early defense and i usually morph in the angels regardless of color. playing this as a five color ive gotten similar or better draws than as a rbw deck. amulet of vigor would help, but not really needed since you can see the core of the deck is r bw and the removal has been planted in those colors. prismatic omen isgreat but is not needed. id rather run lands which cant be countered or disenchanted oring etc. terminate is slow for this deck, id rather use those hide seek to either hide or proactively search my opponents deck. dont forget i can side out the legendary angels for the adomintion angels and those cards. combined with angel of despair, stp, hide//seek and vindicates ill have alot of early creature and enchantment/ artifact removal. the deck may seem wishy washy to the untrained eye but if you notice i can tutor or fetch for most threats on the board. i do own bayous and tundras so i know about the other lands and the value of original dual lands. im using those lands in another deck, so thats why i have the shock lands here. if you noticed, i run the sdt with fetch and crucible in here. i usually get those half the time work and intact in my games. i also sometimes tutor for the classic stripmine crucible lock out or miracle turn with vampiric tutor and temp mast. is it a great deck? no. is it a fun deck ? yes. its designed for tabletop magic and thats where it belongs.

Quicksilver amulet or the Crucible combo seem like they are critical for success. Why then do you have only 2 Amulets?
You have 3 tutors to get them. Is that enough? Because the Green tutor and some blue artifact fetchers could also work.
Also, you have 16 cards on the sideboard. You probably know you need to remove one. I would recommend having just 1 Admonition Angel.
Nice budget, by the way. I am not entirely sure why this deck is 'Unloved'.

PS: What the hell is Phyrexian Tower doing in an Angel deck?

Hey thanks! The amulets are not too critical for success. There are many options. Though there is only one focus of either beat down with creatures or land destruction. The phyrexian tower is in there for a combo with angel of despair + emeria sky ruin or reya at the end of their turn i sac the angel of despair and revive her beginning of my turn..... and mana generation. Say an opponent wants to STP my iona or reya, in response i'll sac the creature. OR if they choose to gain control of my creature(s), I can sac them in response so my angels are not used against me. This is an old version of the current deck im running. When i get more time I'll revise an update to this. The admonition angels are 2x though i could go down to one. I usually like having the option of removing non-land permanents. Lets say for example if i do have quicksilver amulet out. I can use the ability throw down the admon and then sac one of my fetch lands, and play a land on an opponents turn or at the end. Admonitions also allow for me to hide my own stuff if i do decide to board wipe. 3 tutors is enough for what i need and 2x amulets are enough. They are just there for tricks. The real combo is crucible strip mine lock out as you've seen. This deck is really fun in multiplayer and emperor.
