Deck Description

Trying to do some damage off of discarding and bring out Nyxathid as a 7/7. (Originally was a discard/mill deck, but it didn't work as good as I hoped). Will only use M10, Shards of Alara, Conflux, Alara Reborn, Zendikar, Worldwake, and Rise of the Eldrazi.

Deck discussion for Discarding Hurts

I recommend some instant speed discard, such as necrogen spellbomb, since if your opponent is top decking you can make them discard their next turns card meaning they only have what is on the field for that round.

To LordStrongPaw, this deck is type two and the only instant speed discard is Esper Charm. Necrogen Spellbomb is way away from type two now. if he really wants to boost this deck, think about running red and running Bloodchief Ascension with burn spells as an alternate win condition.

Yeah, kaim that would be good, but surprisingly I'm wanting to stick to black and blue. Basically, the Mind Funerals are in there just to make my opponent mad, as is the Nemesis of Reason. Another reason Nemesis of Reason is in there, is that it's a 5 drop for a 3/7 with milling top 10 just for attacking. It also makes a GREAT defender, considering it's a defense of 7. Any other suggestions of how I can stick to black and blue only, with discarding, and a light touch of milling?

Looks good a different take on discard, I like my Black and Blue discard
I would look into

Mind Rot
Hypnotic Specter
Megrim

Burning Inquiry < Good and Bad

Hypnotic Spector... not good, considerinf I'm running three cclors and Sedraxis is same cost, but a 3/2 and has unearth, and causes player to discard.. that's MUCH better than hypnotic. Also, Megrim is too slow, unless you are running straight black....
