Sweet idea, I'd say... -4 Elixir of Immortality -4 Stampeding Rhino +4Rampant growth +4 Kessig Wolf Run +2 Mountains +2 Rootbound Crag -4 Forests
Fair, good point.
I would splash red instead of Black for assault strobe.
I like red splash for burning inquiry, personally
Hmm, the only problem is I'm worried about splashing because it ends up with me having useless cards in my hand, with none of the appropriate mana, I could try to mess with different ratios of mana and sample hands, because that is definitely a beastly idea! I'm more thinking of adding a little more mana accel stuff like Mulch and Viridian emissary.
Hmm, I agree with it being a little slow, you could pulling what i pulled to get high cost creatures out for 4 mana each, also i'd take a look at sample hands and tweak the mana ratio a little bit, i notice that first couple of turns nothing really happens too quick, it would definitely be really fierce if you could figure out getting these things out quicker, i like the addition of blighted agent though, awesome awesome card, but yeah I like this deck, maybe making it a little faster would be really awesome
I think that's about what I'm going to go with, I wish i could do all of this for less mana, cause I'm kind of vulnerable for the first few turns until i get some stuff out
Yeah, the only thing about green is parallel lives seems so perfect for this deck, like i could disard 2 cards, pump out a lot of tokens that way... Hmm, I dunno definitely still needs work...and vengeful pharaoh seems like a really good card, i was just pressed for spaces with the green splash
I'm trying to figure out what to take out / if spashing green also is even worth it
The only problem i see with this is how do you plan on keeping cards in your opponents hand? / Why no Nyxathid or Abyssal Nocturnus if you don't plan on having any cards in their hand. relying on Painful Quandary as a primary win condition seems odd to me, because you'll get them to 0 cards in their hand but then you can only have them discard 1 at a time. I would splash red and put in burning quandary. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=249424 I dunno that's my discard deck i think it works out pretty well
I like it, but if I were you I would throw in liliana's caress so they are losing life while you're bringing there hand to nothing, I have a B/R discard up on here. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=249424 I've gotten a lot of 3rd turn wins with that deck, burning inquiry is awesome if you have liliana's caress or Megrims out. That's just my take on it, but i like you've got here. ( I like painful quandary to, it comes out faster than you'd think, and has won me a lot of games that lasted a little to long ) i've had people in situations " huh, take 5 damage to play this card, or discard a card and take 8 damage to play this card " I dunno, i think it's pretty effective
Yeah I just changed it around a lot and realized i completely forgot to put that card in.
I don't think any B/R discard is complete without Burning Inquiry, works really well for when you've already taken an opponents hand to 0, but hey that's just personal preference. Really solid sweet deck though, Nyxathid or however that is spelled is also a really cool fit for a deck like this.
-4 Duress +4 Hymn to Tourach? I think having some more discard would be a good thing, plus it could help get rid of creature threats straight from the hand.
-4 Liliana's Specter +4 Ravenous rats? If the only point of Liliana's Specter is to force a discard then do it for less mana
